A little thought that just popped into my mind: In today's Britain, do you think arming all UK Police officers is a good idea?

Things to bear in mind when answering:

- Gun crime is on the rise.
- We already have armed response squads, though wether they could get there in time is an issue.
- Do we really need it? In certain areas gun crime is incredibly low.
- Pretty much the rest of the world have armed beat cops.
- Any additional info you may know.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I can see where immediate armed response is necessary, and lives could be lost if the officer on scene is not armed, but on the other hand there's the potential for accidents, example: Officer aims at suspect, his weapon fires accidentally and kills an innocent.

But if I was the PM, and had to make the decision right there and then, I'd definately arm them and trust the police not to make those mistakes.

However, if given time to make up a plan, I'd give officers in high-gun crime areas guns, but not those in nice little villages where somebody throws a stone at a bird every few weeks.

I'm going to download this, but it's not because of the schools, it's because I get the strangest feeling that the UK might jump on the civil-liberties-removing Australian bandwagon. Call em paranoid, but at least I'm prepared and paranoid.

So what exactly do we do? I mean, we can't force them back in there, everybody know you can't hit girls.

So I wanted to do something for Comic Relief this year, but I didn't know what. So I asked around, and the resounding answer was "Cut your hair really fucking short."

I got sponsors from my school, family, and friends, raising £96, and when my scout group heard about it they wanted to help, so they printed off sponsor forms, and a few people got more sponsors, and offered to pay for the barber.

By the big night we had £205, and it all went to Comic Relief. Pics or it didn't happen, right?

So I was on XBL about half an hour ago with a few friends. One of them, let's call him A, starts teamkilling for no reason, especially targeting me, killing me every time I tried to get into any vehicle. Annoying, right?

I tell him to stop, repeatedly, but he just keeps doing that. I get the option to kick every time he does it, but I don't, and eventually I get tired of it, and tell him in no uncertain terms, that I will kick him from the game and party should he continue.

He did it again, so I kicked him. Now he's pissed at me and probably won't talk to me for a few days now (he's a whiney little bitch when it comes to games). I don't mind that in itself, but he's my friend's friend, so my friend (not A) will be all bitchey about it in school tomorrow, which is annoying.

I've had to do that a few times to him, and I'm getting sick of the OMG DRAMA!!!!! Any of you guys have strategies for dealing with situations like this that don't involve me being mildly annoyed?
