Topic: Green Day Going soft?

Posted: 05/17/09 03:18 AM

Forum: General

I know a lot of people don't like Green Day here, and I'll probably be lynched for saying this but I really really like them!

Their old stuff was awesome, the American Idiot era was also awesome (stfu), and I've only heard "Know Your Enemy" from the new album, but it seems okay too.

But that's my problem with Green Day. Their latest album is only OK. Not good, OK. They change style far too often to keep a loyal fanbase.

People who like the old stuff don't like American Idiot, and people who like American Idiot think it's so much better than the old stuff.

You don't quite eat soup, but you don't drink it either because it's got solid bits in it. What the fuck do you do to soup?

BREAKING NEWS:

This just in! There are unconfirmed reports of a fly in the kitchen area of my house. We now go live to flashplayer5, who is at the scene.

--

Thanks Tom, I'm in the Kitchen district where authorities have just confirmed those reports. There is definitely a fly in the kitchen. Local authorities are appealing to to the internet public for information on how to kill it, as everyone in the area hates bugs with a passion.

sensible version: there's a fly in my kitchen, how do I kill it?

Very well fine sir, I like Green Day's music ( no idea what genre it is though) through to Simon and Garfunkel. Seriously, anything.

Okay gents/ladies, I have half the space on my MP3 player still empty after a year of use. This means I do not know enough good music and that, to me, is unacceptable.

So what I want you fine people to do is share some songs you enjoy listening to for me to check out. No Youtube links please, I'm using Spotify.

Thank you, you upstanding citizens.

You know, I say "There goes my faith in humanity again..." quite a lot when I see threads discussing events like these (school shootings, random spree killings, stupidly motivated murders etc) but this time I really fucking mean it.

This is an absolute tragedy. The people who committed this atrocity should be given the severest sentence possible, preferably death, because scum like that donot deserve a place on this earth.

The family have my sincere condolences.

Topic: So I got up early today...

Posted: 05/07/09 03:02 AM

Forum: General

Well, relatively early since I don't have school today (exam leave is shweet) and I got up at 7:00AM. Of my own free will.

I'm still a little drowsy but it feels great! There are nice people on XBL, I'm looking forward to making a toastie for breakfast, and the sun is shining through my open window as it lets in some beautiful summer air.

My family are leaving one by one for school/work and I know that I will be able to perform cooking genius for lunch later in peace.

So does NG get up early of it's own free will often? If not I recommend it.

Topic: Which government would you like?

Posted: 04/29/09 06:49 PM

Forum: General

I''m not too big on politics but I know I don't like the two extremes, communism and facism. So that leaves me with the choice of anarchism or libertarianism.

Anarchism means no laws, which I don't agree with because it's the stupidest idea I've ever heard. The idea of a country having no laws and no government would take us to the stone age, basically.

I am therefore forced to go with libertarianism.

Or, if given free choice, I'd go back to basic democracy, where every decision the government makes requires a referendum/proposition, not just big ones.
