I'd put this in VG forum, but it has nothing to do with games or the various merits/abilities of my chosen console, it's just a connection problem to a gaming service. So no, this does not go in VG, before you say.

Okay so I'm having problems with my 360. I tried to sign into XBL, but it couldn't connect to it. I ran the test and it says I'm connected to the internet, but not Live, for some bizzare reason.

The troubleshooting guide told me to open certain ports, which is my problem. I have absolutely no idea how to do that (In two years of studying computing, I was never shown anything about firewalls. Gee thanks education system.) and Xbox.com makes no sense to me.

Clarified version of events:

1: Turned on Xbox.
2: Failed to sign into XBL.
3: Ran diagnostics.
4: Turned my internet off and on again.
5: Re-ran diagnostics.
6: Hoovered room.
7: Realized I was connected to the internet, but not Xbox Live.
8: Went to xbox.com, who told me to fuck myself.
9: ????????
10: Posted on NG asking anonymous strangers to fix my 360.

Any help you guys can give would be appreciated very, very much.

It's not wrong to feel sorry for them at all. The treaty of Versailles was totally unfair and basically crushed the country. In my opinion if Britain and France had just gone with Wilson's 48-point plan then WWII may never have happened.

Solution:

Forget about the stolen drink, go buy more, check it's still there before they leave next time they come over.

I don't think they're overpaid really.

I can see where you're coming from though. They only do what comes natural to us all and it's really not a hard job at all, right? Fuck someone in front of a camera!

But what you have to remember is that they basically give up their social lives to the job. They make the money so they can live in fancy houses in nice areas, where the rich men let their trophy wives rest all day and have affairs with the pool boy. But when they get there they can't really make friends with the housewives, because they're like that. They're never even talk to someone in the adult industry.

So no social life for porn stars, but the money is to make up for it I think.
