Topic: Weird late-night conversations.

Posted: 10/02/09 06:10 PM

Forum: General

Hello newgrounds, I hope you're having/had a nice day.

I come to to today to discuss the topic of late-night conversations of two kinds: The kind you have, and the kind you hear. I want to hear stories about both because I'm bored. I wanted to make a thread and this popped into my head so let's hear them, but first, let's define the two types.

The kind you have, are either real-life, phone, or IM convos you have while semi-intoxicated at night, usually it's just you and one other person talking about something unusually deep and profound for the present company. For example last night me and a girl I hardly talk to who has the reputation for being the most weird and random girl in out class had a long and intelligent conversation about euthanasia for no real reason.

The kind you hear is different. These are the short blasts of a loud, drunk conversation you hear people yelling at each other from outside. Example, a few months ago I heard the best one I've ever heard. I could hear some girl screaming clear as day about how she's "SO SO SORRY" and some guy yelling "LOOK, LEAVE ME ALONE, I DON'T LOVE YOU!". That particular one ended in "I DON'T GIVE A SHIT, THIS TIE TOMORROW I'LL BE IN LONDON!!!", a car door slamming, and driving away. It's kinda sick being interested in listening to that crap but hey, if they will shout it out loud at 3AM...

Let's hear stories of both.

So I know this guy, we talk a little IRL but mostly out conversations take place on MSN. On the 4th it was my 16th birthday and he asked (what I assumed at the time was) jokingly what I wanted for my birthday, and I naturally supplied the semi-sarcastic answer of booze.

Today he gave me a bottle of Jack Daniels. He is now awesome and my new best friend, considering I am not of legal age to buy. Happy Birthday to me I guess, but still the way he gave it to me was a little odd too. He just got it out of his bag in the middle of school and gave me it.

Naturally, I completely freaked and told him to put the bottle back in his bag until there wasn't a teacher five meters away, collecting it later.

Meat of the topic: What do I get him for his birthday? I'm not connected in any way shape or form to be able to buy.

Normally I wouldn't pay much attention to this since I could hardly be counted as one of the people you are talking about, but it took me long enough to work out what you were talking about so why not?

At 7/27/09 11:51 PM, bobobo22 wrote: Now i know im not the only one here, but i wanna say the type of troll i hate the most, is the "oh wow look at the '08 noob". The a-holes who go on this site and just try to be cool or better than someone just because they wasted more of the life on the site than any one else.

Sorry, you're wrong there. Usually people who judge people by sign up dates are shunned and laughed at themselves, with a typical conversation going such:

Person 1: *opinion on subject matter*
Person 2: Kindly stfu, '08 n00b.
Persons 3-9: Shut up and let him talk, shallow dick.

The only time judging people by sign-up is acceptable is when they act like regs, example:

Person 1 (sign up 2009): NG IS FALLING APART I'VE SEEN IT.
Persons 2-9: I'm sure you've been here long enough to see it.

... but the ones that annoy me the most are the high and mighty 06'er trolls who are proabably the biggest nerds................................eve r

And you condemn people for judging by sign up date.

Wow. I'm feeling mean today! >=(

Bear in mind people, shagging her would maybe have been impossible due to the fact that a lack of condom may have occured, and I don't get boners when I've just had the shit sacred out of me.

Oral, though, should have occurred.

Topic: New hobby or go feral?

Posted: 07/18/09 08:26 PM

Forum: General

Hi newgrounds, it's been a while since I last payed attention to you. Sure I've logged in and lurked, maybe the occasional post or two but mainly I've been distracted by playing my 360.

I'm not quite sure about the definition of a hobby, but until very recently I considered playing my 360 my hobby. In fact it took until today for me to realize it has finally lost it's allure. I no longer find myself capable of spending all day on it whiling away the hours on FarCry 2's map maker, or blowing shit up in COD4. Instead I find that when I go to put a game in none look appealing. In short, it has become boring.

So now I need something to occupy my time with. Preferably something beneficial to me that I can waste entire days on. Should I become a wandering minstrel, and roam the country playing my songs for food? Should I go in search of greener pastures than these? Should I simply go feral and live off the land, eating moss and small children?

I need something new to occupy my time with. Suggestions?

I'm not entirely sure is this thread is allowed or not, but I couldn't find any rules to the contrary so here goes...

I'm desparately in need of one of those 48-hour trial codes for XBL. If anybody out there has any it would be extremely appreciated if you could take five minutes out of your day and PM me one.

Again, if this thread is not allowed, sorry 'bout that.

Recently I've stopped giving even the smallest shit about my appearance. It was only yesterday I finally got around to shaving for the first time this month, my acne has broken out, and I'm getting fat.

Now I've realized this and I'm starting to make improvements, such as walking home from school to lose the gut, shaving more regularly, keeping my hair in order etc. But how do I get rid of the acne on my nose?

I can't use spot cream because it seems to have an adverse effect.
