Windows 7
Oh boy... Formatting fun!!
64 bit does rule however! I've noticed some plugins don't work under 64 bit. Luckily FL does though. But my soundcard's driver 64bit isn't released yet. So i don't have any soouuunndd. I am using a standard motherboard soundcard now.. and it sucks :(.
I never imaged the soundcard would be a problem. I thought only software like FL. ( But i'm stupid )
Regardless, i'm patiently waiting for the driver. May i warn thee that might buy Windows 7.

This is a curse word that the Britts gave the Dutch people, from the colony New-Netherland (That later on is called New York), the name "Jan Kees" because it's a very idiotic and common Dutch name.

So HA!

Yankee does origenate from Jan Kees. Or arguably Jan Kaas ( Which stands for cheese, and kind of pronounced like kees ). Jan being a typical dutch name, my father's name is jan for example lol, en cheese was a typical product of holland.

All in all, i don't think it would really matter much since people don't consider it as a curse word. Some americans are proud to be a yankee? ( Or aren't they?)

But almost all of the upload sites are trustworthy. ( From my experience )

If a thread like this has already been done then... My bad. It's hard to search the forums when you can't search 'WIP', but I did search 'Work in progress' and didn't find anything.

This kind of threads randomly appear since the origenal one tends to get lost.
But it's a good idea.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to submit it to other sites like Spamtheweb or mediafire. That way the audioportal wouldn't be clogged up with useless WIP"s and you wouldn't be blamed for self advertising :p

All jokes aside, howmuch would such a thing cost anyway? Well you won't pay for assembly obviously but shipping might be more expensive. I've never heard of anyone or know of anyone who made there guitar themselves. So i'm fairly intrested. You better post pics !!

I'll be rooting for you!

Isn't piano a stringed instrument?

Well yes but you don't hold the snares and use frets, stuff like that. Piano is basically just pushing a key--- why am i explaining this. =D

The pawn shop would be an great idea, if i would know what i am looking for. I'm not experienced with any guitars. So i rather start with something basic, and apperently something worth your money. I heard alot of comments on this particular and it sounds like an allrounder. Some people slap too it aswell on youtube if im not mistaken. Anyways, you also need alot of luck if it comes to pawn shops. And it won't be in perfect shape like a store would. Then again, it's price is lower obviously.

I still stick with my plan. I'll go to either my local music store or THE music store because that's the biggest music store in europe. I can ask there around, perhaps test them out and judge from there on. If i can't find a good one there, then i simply won't find it anywhere. I will be aiming for the Jazz Bass Affinity from Squire though. Just because XP.

Note to that other guy. Yes i heard using a pick does give a much clearer sound and sharper. However ,i'm not really aiming for that. I also heard different oppinions of to start with pick or without. My geuss is, if i want to end up with slapbass and funk etc, i can better use my hands. Then again, i have no clue. That's why i'm asking you guys yay!

I all things go well, i'm going to pick it up this saturday. I'll try to post my first thoughts. I hope you can help me afterwards aswell :D. Where to start and how.
I already know how to read tabs, so i geuss that's a good thing. Should i consider lessons though? Or stick to self study?

-Firebolt-
Thanks for all the help so far
