Sometimes you can't do it. Note those big adds, usually it's Alien Hominid or something but then you get insurance adverts and that cursed crazy frog. It's sad that even though most of NG hates that frog with a raw passion it's on the site just above the portal enteries.

Get a pop up blocker, like so many other people have suggested.

I ALREADY HAVE!!! *I meantioned this before, but then I have to turn it off when I want to log in to my NG account.

Also - I know plenty of people who would be willing to pay to get rid of the pop-ups.
