I almost forgot.

There's a DS game called Drawn to Life. It's a fun, solid little platformer-exploration-esque game. The real seller is this; you can draw the very character and tools you use in-game. I have it, and it certainly isn't a bad game, even if it didn't have the draw-design function.

Anyways, may I suggest Chibi Robo? I'm not sure if the DS version has hit the shelves yet, but the Gamecube version's been out for some time.

You mean the ones from the simple graphic ages?

Yes, or at least, the same design.

Not gonna happen, people these days are too stupid to care about anything other than graphics.

No, that's not what I mean. Besides, even a cube can be graphically enhanced.

I meant the same kind of Arwing that was used in the ones before COmmand. The custom ones only show up in Command, after all.

Well, with all the new features they've already announced, who knows what else they'll change in classic?

Well, they'll obviously keep the Hands. Possibly, they won't be in the Adventure mode at all, like in Melee. Except in Melee, there really wasn't a story beyond "Beat the crap out of anything that gets in your way".

In fact, this new Classic mode sort of reminds me of the old Adventure mode, in the way that the stages are preset instead of random.

The Future of Star Fox. Posted October 30th, 2007 in General

I didn't truly like where the endings of Command went: the Star Fox team we've come to know is just kicked off the story to be mostly replaced by characters we. or at least I, don't give two shits about.

These endings would be nice if Command was the last Star Fox game to come into existence, but as we all know, it isn't. A Star Fox for the Wii is inevitable.

Speaking of, a Star Fox game on the Wii would actually play very well. Just point the remote (or Wiimote, as it's really called. Meh.) to a part of the screen and the Arwing/Landmaster/Blue Marine goes there. I wouldn't expect an on-foot stage; Star Fox Assualt really didn't execute it well at all.

Since the events before Star Fox weren't truly explained in detail (Andross has his ass handed to him by the Army, goes to Venom, James McCloud and others investigate, get asses betrayed, blah,) I think that those events would make a good plot for the next game.

Not only would this bring back the original, better-looking-than-the-fugly-customized Arwings, and better, the original Great Fox. Those who have or have seen Star Fox Command's Great Fox were certainly disappointed by the new design; since the original Great Fox rammed a fucking planet, I'm sure whoever supplied Fox his new mothership wasn't funded very well. That also tells a good deal about why the other members of Star Fox left: would you want to be associated with that piece of crap?

TL;DR Version: THe next Star Fox game should be before the original. That means the actual Great Fox is used and not this hunk of shit.

If you don't have anything to contribute to the topic, follow what your mom always told you. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Which means no "Nintendo is Shit" or other console war talk.

At 10/28/07 07:29 PM, JakFro5t wrote: i.e. a Katana will not go through bone, there-for you cannot kill a zombie fully with it.

Any sword can break through the neck ones, with enough force. The katana is a two-handed sword, when used right, so more of your strength can be used to cut off the head.

When you said "Pistol only works once they're too close,", what kind of pistol are you useing? Does it use air power? With a pistol you can hit something a few yards away, this is clearly enough space between, me and the target.

Here is an explanation:

How good is your aim with a small firearm? I've used my wimpy, .22 revolver before and have had trouble hitting the head at only ten yards. A handgun's disadvantages include that it does not usually have a stock (unless you attach one), so you'll have a shaky aim. With shaky aim, you'll most likely miss the brain, alerting the undead to your presence, considering you're trying to pistol-snipe.

A .45 pistol has a harder kick than a .22, and if you're using a Colt 1911, if you do not hold it right, you'll get the Colt 1911 bite.

5. I believe someone said that zombies would be attracted to my location by moaning? The undead don't use thier lungs, so there-for they cannot produce sound.

We follow the Zombie Survival Guide, no matter its errors. Besides, Zombies may not use their lungs for breathing, but nonetheless can exhale air to moan.

----------------------------------------
So my sledgehammer is a bad idea? Someone help me out, whats a good weapon for destroying the brain?

A sledgehammer, unless you have that monstrosity on a pole, is a short handled weapon. A zombie will grab you, pull you in, and bite you if you miss your target. A single bite is enough to transmist the virus.

The best idea is to try and avoid a close-combat situation. However, if you must have a close combat weapon, baseball bats are easy to obtain. Crowbars, shovels, axes, even hatchets are more effective than a sledgehammer. The reason being the sledgehammer's weight; a noral hatchet is usually lighter, and easier to walk around with.

Or, you could walk away from the fight altogether, unless you're hopelessly trapped.

Breach. Posted October 27th, 2007 in General

Link, if you haven't seen it on the front page.

Somehow, this game strongly reminds me of some of the AVGN's quotes in his Silver Surfer review.

Namely, these:

"...Like playing Operation, but with a bunch of shit trying to kill you!"

"Let's say I gave you a maze. I'm asking you to draw a line from start to finish, without touching any walls or running into any dead ends. Meanwhile, I'm pulling the maze to the left. It would drive you fucking nuts.

Breach doesn't play like operation at all, but when you get to later stages, the point is the same. You're already trying to do something, and everything's flying at you, too.

Breach is also sort of like a maze, except you can blast holes in the walls. Except, these broken walls fly straight at you and try to kill you. You can't touch any of the walls or the virus parts, or you take damage. While this isn't very hard at all, suddenly everything's flying apart and clusterfucking you, while the screen's moving to the left.

Quite a coincidence.

Luckily, you don't die in one hit while playing Breach.

Spell check? Surely you jest, one does not need a spellcheck to spell words correctly, unless the words are foreign, not used, or understandably complicated. "Ya" is a mispelling of word four letters long, "Yeah", and is correctly spelled by about 96% of the common English-speaking population.

Also, when you use proper grammer, people tend to respect you, and not consider you a jackass simply by looking at your post.
