Bah! Name calling is outdated. So is the 2-party system. Haven't these two groups of losers screwed up our nation enough yet? Give a third party a chance! Vote Libretarian in 2008!

Response to: Gas Prices Posted July 10th, 2005 in Politics

You all REALLY want lower gas prices? 50-55% of the price you pay at the pump just goes toward taxes on the gas station itself. Add to that a $.40-$.50 tax on the fuel itself.
Really want lower gas prices?
Write every politican you know on a local, state, and federal level and push for decreased taxes on gasoline and gasoline merchants.

And just a little credentials for the inevitable flamers, the tax numbers I gave are from the state of Kansas, from a gasoline merchant with over 30 years experience in retailing and wholesaleing gasoline, as well as ethanol blending...

What shoud we do? We ssould stop crying. With crude oil at $61 a barrel, you should feel lucky gas isn't $3.00 a gallon. After the govornment takes its cut, then the fuleman is allowed 2 or 3 cents of profit by the public. Gas merchants have to eat too.

I understand you, totalwar, now listen to me.
I am saying we need to return all Americans to US soil, and close our borders.
If we become a target, we will retaliate, then return home. According to this doctrine, we would have only fought Japan in WWII. We also would have never got involved in WWI.

Response to: United Nations & War on Terror Posted July 8th, 2005 in Politics

totalwar, you're missing the point. As an isolationist nation, we do not interfere with other nation's affairs at all until they interfere with us. Trade still happens, but our borders would be closed and fortified. Also, as for international problems, until they are invading us, we would not interfere.

Not looking at the problem?
I am saying ignoring the rest of the world.
Close the borders, and bring all Americans home....
With no meddiling in other people's affairs, we can focus on mending our own.
And someday have some international respect again....

The death penalty should be used.
1: Serial Killers should not remain, even in prison
2: anyone who kills a law enforcement officer
3: too many nasty murderers get out on parole
4: life in prision isn't that bad compared to inner city living
5: it is mandated by my religion (this only applies to me, I am not forcing my beliefs)
JUST MY OPINION!!

You are just being an idiot here

There is logic behind this. At the end of the second world war, the communist world was our only powerful enemy. It was during this time that the American people learned 3 things vital to control of the police state we are rapidly becoming
Lesson 1: Security over Rights
Lesson 2: The Media is infallible
Lesson 3: The govornment is god

None of this would have happened without Karl Marx writing the Communist Manifesto...

We owe Karl Marx for the incredibally power-hungry govornment we have
We all owe NG a big favor for these forums

Hirohito and Hitler go at it
Tokyo is nuked
Hitler rules world,
Empire collapses with his death
mass anarchy, new dark age...

Response to: ww3 Posted July 7th, 2005 in Politics

WWIII
USA, England, Israel, South Korea, Japan, and whatever other sorry kids the UK and the USA bring along

VS................

Iran, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China, and North Korea.

The nukes will fly, and lots will die.....

MY PREDICTION:
US goes to war with Iran
Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other Mideasterners jump in
UK sends a major presence, mainly for protection of their own intrests
Egypt threatens to close the Suez Canal
Israel jumps in, siezes Suez, and generally whups ass...
North Korea attacks South Korea, interferes with Japanese shipping
US and Japan attack North Korea
China allies w/ NK

somewhere in the middle of it all, someone will get nuked

Also, India vs. Pakistan may go off during this....

I got a 25 on my ACT.
I would have a 27, but I need to bring up my math score.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to do this?

Response to: yo yo, need help w/debate topic Posted July 7th, 2005 in Politics

I agree, but remember, the drug company may have thousands of $900 pills laying around, but how much money went into RandD?
The company needs to at least earn back its investment.
For instance:
You spend $20million finding a cure for AIDS
You can make 1000 treatments a day
(for clarity's sake a treatment lasts a month, and the person is 50% cured)
Would you want to sell the treatments to the people who could afford to pay back your investment?
OR,
Would you give away the $20million to African AIDS (a problem they started themselves)?

This is a question of redemming what you have spent your entire life and fortune on.

Also, for every drug the drug companies sell, money goes into research
If we ignore patents, then R&D labs will collapse, and we will have a medicinal dark age

Just taking a counterpoint....
