You really think that would work? Usually bullies think several turns ahead, and don't pick on anyone who would be capable of threatening them back. Also, it's likely your "bluff" will be called. What are you going to do if that happens?

Bullies don't think like that. Unless there are gangs invloved, in which case, they're also armed. Not only do I think it would work, I know it does. Also, it isn't a bluff. Everything but the scissors and circut board are real weapons. I have gotten them past security before. And mind you, I said that if someone would want to fight back.

Response to: stop bullying in schools Posted August 29th, 2005 in Politics

Also, for the kids who want to fight back: Despite security precautions, you can still get knives into schools. Oversharpened scissors, a 2-inch blade disguised as a pen, an aspen leaf keychain knife, a sharpened circuit board, you can get a lot of blades past security. Next time a bully goes for you, just threaten them, then ditch the blade in a trash can before the teacher gets there...

On the whole, all the people in this thread saying "grow up" or "stop being pussys" have been from the US. While the the Brits and Canadians who have posted seem to have a much kinder attitude to it.

Yeah, but remember, our ancestors were mainly poor immigrants with nothing, (Canada too). Also remember, as a nation we were bullied until we kicked Englands ass again. Then, we were able to survive a large scale rebellion, and still saved the worlds ass twice. Just think about that when you write counters to bullying from a cultural viewpoint...

Not all kids who kill themselves over bulling are emo, or part of any social group for that matter. In fact, thats probably why a lot of them are bullied.

Then they should take a lesson from the communists, Unite or Die.
5 paths to take in these situations:
1) Weather it alone
2) Conform and gain protection
3) Form your own group of fellow outcasts
4) Fight back alone
5) Join the bullies
They all work, and are easy to do. The weak ones can take option 2, and the stronger ones can take 4 or 5. The strongest individual people will form groups to protect themselves, option 3. Only the weakest of the weak wil take option 1...

There are many things that we could all benifit from uniting, yet at the same time we have our own ethnic backgrounds that we wish to cling to.

The UN may be the closest we ever get to a unified Earth, yet no one can say that it truly does anything drastic to affect the world. The UN is considered by most, nothing more than a debate society.

Whay is your view on this

Remember the EU? That really worked. The Euro has fallen into the shadow of the dollar again, their courts are jammed, and can't move, and I heard talk of some countries leaving. That really works, huh?

Okay, n008, Welcome to the Political forums on Newgrounds.com
1) Remember the 3rd grade? You learned basic punctuation and grammar. USE THEM! This isn't the general forum. For the sake of all others, I will correct this post.
CORRECTIONS:
When you break down the word "politics" into the greek roots, you will find that poli, means many, and tics, are little bloodsucking creatures. So, for your own saftey in reality, don't be a politic.
2) If you have heard a joke about politics before, chances are most of us have heard it too, so it isn't funny anymore.
3) Don't make new threads on common topics. Run a search and ressurect the most recent one.
4) Respect everyone. Your opinion holds no more weight than mine, and even less than the Moderators. Keep flames to a minimum. Flame threads are very rude.
5) Have fun!

News flash. I was. All through Elementary and Jr. High. Then I tried to normalize myself, and the bullying stopped.

Also, to the person who replied to my freak comment: I wasn't thinking hollywood perfect. I was thinking halfway normal. Emo kids, hypergoths, or any posers of any group. I can understand individuality, but if a guy comes to school wearing makeup, there is a problem that needs a 5-finger solution. Posers especially. If you're so insecure that you try to break into a new scocial group based on what you saw on VH1 last night, A slight bit of toughening up is neccesary.

I was bullied. It gave me the perseverence to become who I am today.
Bulying cleanses the dregs of scociety, before they hit the real world....

Freshman initiation toughens them up.

That's just theft.
If there were goths at my school, I would bully them.
Yeah, everyone's an individual, but if you intentionally make a freak out of yourself, YOU DESERVE TO BE BULLYIED!
Don't complain if you think vampires are real, and you get locked in your locker all day.
Don't complain if you have more metal on your clothes than your locker, and someone decides to shove you around.
If a person makes a freak out of themselves, they knowingly accept the title, and should be adressed as "That Stupid Freak [insert name]"

Evolution is a theory.
It has not been proven in any lab condition tests.
Simulations do not count.
Creation is a theory, that requires a little more faith than evolution.
Until looking at the facts.
How could something as complex as the huan body come about totally by chance?
How could every type of creature on the earth be easily classifiable, if they came about by chance?
How could our atmosphere have achieved the perfect balance of gases, by chance?
