Extended use of nitrous does do damage to your brain. I don't know to what extent, I'm sure a physician or a neurologist would be able to tell you. Obviously it's safe enough to use without risk from any single instance, unless you have some ridiculous iron lung set-up. So I guess if you're fine with the brain damage drinking does you'd be fine with doing whipits.

Personally though, I think that stuff is pointless, you might as well just asphyxiate yourself with a tire swing to get the same effect

How in the hell does the number of known planets with life figure into any equation attempting to estimate the number of inhabited worlds?

Finding another world with life would empirically prove that life outside of Earth is possible. That's it. Beyond that, two inhabited planets is no more statistically significant than one inhabited planet. Though the Drake equation may be pure speculation, there's a reason the formula doesn't include known inhabited planets: they're useless in speculation of the probability of other planets.

So, once again, could you please provide an argument that life on Earth is special in any sense?

The op claims that the only argument for possible life is the numbers of stars/galaxies and materials. However, the only argument he provided against the possibility of life is that there is only one observed planet that harbors life.

Bravo.

The arguments in favor of extraterrestrial life stem not only from the sure number of stars and planets in the milky way alone (let alone in the other ~100 billion observable galaxies), but also from the fact that the chemicals essential to life are readily available all over the galaxy and are common compounds.

I'd love to see evidence supporting the view of Earth being special. Got any?

Recently I've seen many commercials and periodicals dedicated to bringing about the message of so called "environmental concern" to our society. Particularly this advert featuring a naked Harrison Ford.

Here's where my anger stems from : these people are retarded. The major concern over the reduction of CO2 emissions is fucking stupid. Where's the evidence to show that my 1999 Hummer is doing any damage to the environment at all? I'll tell you where. It doesn't exist. That's right! Here's
a fun fact: car exhaust actually helps the environment. They make the air breathable for us humans, and help enrich the rain with many nutrients, such as Vitamin J and Brawndo. Don't believe me? CO2 is classified as a greenhouse gas. What grows in greenhouses? Plants! Therefore, greenhouse gases grow plants. Not to mention, I don't see how ripping the hair off of some old scrooge's tits will save the endangered dodobird. It'll just give him really red tits.

If you're skeptical of any statements I've made, just read up and don't be stupid. My good man LRH has assured me that his credentials are fine and that if you don't believe me than you should read his large assorted collection of educational books for citations. Just today he checked the emissions from my John Dear 1982 Wheat Combine with his e-meter, and told me that it was outputting sufficient levels of karma and EhZZes+'s, and that burning fossil fuels is cleaner than exhaling. Even Reagan said that trees put out more harmful chemicals than cars.

So in short, Greenpeace are genius terrorists and the American automobile market saves the Earth.

This may be old news to some, but not too long ago I stumbled uponthid little gem while browsing the web. Not only does this author provide absolutely zero factual material to reinforce his claims, he seems to completely revere the lack of common sense. He over analyzes a commercial project put together by college graduates interested in the gaming industry.

I don't know about you, but when I played Portal I was to concentrated on the fact that I was altering the space/time continuum to give a shit about the lack of any cocks in the game.

Although it was just random music, it really did amplify the atmosphere of the game.

I wouldn't really call it random, it's a collection of some pretty popular J-Pop stuff.

As for me, I guess I have two favorites. First, there's the Splinter Cell Chaos Theory soundtrack by Amon Tobin, who's without a doubt the greatest sample artist there is, and than the MGS3 soundtrack because of the retro jazz/funk style of the 60's.

I think Cortex Command shows how a certain element in a game can outshine the others by a wide margin (in this case visuals). It plays out in a fashion similar to the Worms series, but in sort of a stylized RTS sort of way with base and defense building.

Definitely worth checking out.
