I am being honest. Now I enjoy my good old gross out comedy but it just DOESNT WORK IMO in this setting. Sorry

gotten a review deletion notice for a review you thought was completely appropriate and uninsulting? Well it just happened to me and i am beginning to question newgrounds' legitimacy. It was negative but not that negative. The flash artist even responded to it very cordially!

Topic: RPG's? (why?)

Posted: 11/22/09 02:54 PM

Forum: Video Games

RPGs are called RPGs because those action games didn't always have role playing. It is the difference between the first final fantasy and Mario games. In mario you were basically an avatar jumpin on platforms. In final fantasy you played the role of the four warriors of light trying to save the world! The genre naturally adopted the attributes of leveling and long games just cause thats what it started out as. It is similar to how the Chinese call themselves communists. They arent communist's in the literal sense but thats how they started out and the name sticks.

yes it is better, but anyone with a brain got a better battery for it and those are better than the go's, and you can't upgrade it

No one I know has bought another battery for their PSPs

Also that it is much less fragile.
my friends go cracked when he dropped it on wood flooring, my normal psp had no visible damage when i dropped it on pavement

matter of luck. I have heard differently so whatever

Plus For me the games take 1/2 hour to download so I don't think it is so bad.
that is the minimum mostikely, the better wifi the quiker download. that's still enough time to watch a shorter movie

I didn't say it was the minimum. I said thats about how long it takes

The memory seems pretty sufficient to me. I have something like 5 games already plus 500 songs and it is about half full. It will last me a long time.
that is only about ten to fifteen games, songs only take a matter of megabytes so they don't ever significantly affect memory

If I ever get 15 games I don't think I will mind buying a memory card

I just looked up the retail price for a 16gb memory duo stick for the psp 300 and it costs 70 dollars. So 170(price of 3000) + 70 = $240. Really? You aren't willing to pay $10 for a great redesign and more comfortable controls and more compatibility for different stuff?

Would have been nice if they added a second analogue stick and a built in camera.

the warranty covers battery exchange plus there actually is a card slot, OH LOOK! it is right on the side of the system!

so what i am hearing is price, can't sell your games, and maybe a little hating on the downloadable medium.
Well then I guess this system is perfect for me! I don't care about pricing, I never sell my games, and I have always enjoyed downloadable content.

Oh and the guy talking about not being able to download your games in the future, that situation seems too ludicrously overwrought to effect your decision on whether to buy a console.

And the guy talking about modding the PSP, that isn't something I imagine I would want to do. Also I think the majority of modders use it for illegal means so I would be glad if they could get rid of it from every PSP model. I mean it is terrible how much piracy there is on the PSP. I just fucking hate anyone who steals games. I think I started a thread on that topic. I am not blaming you of anything though.

But look at it, it has smaller screen (you can use that tv adapter cable but only the ones with HDTV can use it), the controls are awkward (they are all very close to each other and the screen is above it, the analog stick is also hard to control since it's in the middle), and not all the games are gonna be on the PSN store, hell you can't even sell your games either. The 16gb isn't worth it since you can just buy a memory stick on regular PSP. You might as well buy a normal PSP, the price for GO is just bullshit, that's what matters.

Everything which you just noted is either an opinion(not unlike my argument) but also untruthful. There are numerous accounts of the system being more comfortable than the previous iterations including, gamefaqs reviews, gaming press commentary, and of course my own. Also I like smaller screens, it makes it seem like the resolution is higher(which is technically true). I mean I loved the GBA Micro, though I never bought one. If you want a huge screen why not just wait for the super sized nintendo DS?

But I can see that you are obviously not the market for the system. I actually don't like the idea of selling games used for it takes from the profits of the companies which make the things I love.

He's saying that you can't play discs for your old PSP on the PSP Go. So unless you have a crap load of ROM extracting software, you'll have to buy and download the same games over, which I find unnecessary.

actually, no. Go reread his comment. You both are wrong.

A Hard copy you can plug in and play whenever. If you get something in software format only who knows how long the servers will be up for. And if you want to play a game you may have deleted off the hard drive 10 years ago it may not be available to download in a decade.

I don't understand this argument. All I read is paranoia. Why do you need servers for a JRPG? Plus for an online shooter can't the same be said for that? And if you run out of room on the internal memory there is no need to delete games. Go buy a memory stick!

DISCLAIMER: if you are only going to comment on the price then do not post. It HAS NO BEARING ON THE QUALITY OF THE SYSTEM.

well I bought a PSP Go and I love it.

through october the psp offerings on psn have gone up by atleast 130 games. Plus I don't care if you claim the design looks like cartman. After plaing with it for 50 hours then trying to use my friend's psp 3000 I realize just how good it feels. My DS Lite feels like an actual brick now. And you wouldn't believe the convinience of being able to switch from game to game with such ease. Plus the large memory lets me use it like an ipod. Plus I am able to play monster hunter with a ps3 controller(watching the psp go while not holding it is less of an inconvinience than you might think) with the new bluetooth.

I am not too lazy to go and change dics, It just feels a ton better. Like the difference between an ipod and a cd player. On a cd player you are more inclined to listen to a cd the whole way through but on an ipod you switch between individual songs depending on your mood. That is what it feels like.

I immediately bought Monster hunter freedom unite and jeanne d'arc. When I am done with those I might get half minute hero or Dissidia and after that who knows. GTA chinatown wars or any of the psn originals are goos choices. And every week is like a month's worth of releases on PSN with like 5 to ten games coming out. I just don't understand all the hate it is getting.

And when one losses, the opposing 'mon will fucking kill you. Picture a Charizard burning you to death, or a Scyther chopping you to pieces and you good the mental image.

One of this days, I will play them more, only played SMT 2.

This is exactly what I am talking about! Pikachu shocks you with thunder and your heels explode. Or teddiursa mauls your fucking face off. That is what Megaten is like, at least what I wish it was like.....

As far as gameplay goes, though, my favorite is Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army. As annoying frequent as the battles were, they were still hella fun.

I agree that it was a great game but I much prefer the sequel. It was just way more polished and fast.

yes this is what I should do. I have painted before with acrylics, not much though. I will try to do broad to small now.

And the black lines are a preliminary sketch. The paint will go over it. And the angle of the picture is an artistic choice
