I would buy it knowing that it won't be as good as Brawl because it isn't supposed to be. Many DS games are toned down versions of Wii titles and are still very fun.

My two mains are Ike and King DeDeDe. I like using the Wiimote sideways. Both characters are pretty slow but I like their powerful smash attacks. I like using Ike better in 1 on 1 because he is slightly faster.

The Wii really doesn't have much going for it if its "biggest thing" is Brawl.

I disagree, Brawl was like the fastest selling game ever and got excellent scores in just about every review.
