3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsHey all! I'll cut to the chase- I'm developing a series pilot with a few friends and we're nearing completion on it. I had a music guy lined up for this, but he hasn't responded back to me for a week now and we're almost to the point where the animation is ready for music. I should have the animation done sometime this week, so if it can be done relatively quickly, that'd be a plus. The style will need to have an epic-medieval feel to it. I'm looking for a musician to do these few things-
1.) A quick intro/outro song (probably around 3-6 seconds tops) for the title and end credits. We may be adding 2 words into the intro music, so if you can work with that, that'd be ideal.
2.) A 5-10 second subtle loop for the opening text crawl (I'll send you an example of this)
3.) A 10 second battle/fight clip
This WILL be a paid gig obviously, and we're hoping to make this a recurring thing if my client likes it, so if you have a rate, please leave your info below with some samples/your site or send me a message! Please ask any questions below that I may have missed. We'll go from there!
There's some amazing composers here! I honestly wasn't expecting such an immense amount of skilled musicians to respond to this thread and through my NG mail account. Thanks! Just an update- what's pretty much happening is I'm finishing the episodes, but my current music guy's schedule keeps getting cluttered up with work, so he can't commit to any deadline and that means I'm lagging behind on submitting things. The current episode that's done will be up to him to finish, but if he can't have the next one done at the scheduled time (sometime in late june/early july), I'll definitely be contacting one of you to do it.
Even if he does end up getting it done on time, I still want to work with some of you on alternate projects in the future (if you'd still be interested then). Because after checking out the work you guys produce...WOW. SUCH SKILL!
Hey guys! I'm not certain as to how to ask what I need, so I'll get right to it- I'm the creator of Minecraft: The Noob Adventures which is a series about 3 MC players taking on an evil griefing antagonist named Gaylord Steambath. You can watch it here-

I was wondering if there are any talented individuals out there who can produce the same or similar quality of music that is in the series. If you need to know how complex the tracks can get, I would recommend watching episode 11 and 17. If you need to know how subtle and subdued the tracks can get, watch episode 9 or 18.
My current music guy has been very flakey with getting the episode music done in a timely manner (he's a busy guy), so I just need someone on standby who can produce something similar in quality. If interested, please write in this thread to let me know if you're interested, if you have any questions, or if I failed to follow some forum rules. Thanks!
Question: How did you add sound to your movie in Flash? Did you put sound into frames, etc?
First, thanks for the info! Have other people had similar problems or is this just me? To answer your q- correct. I put streamed sounds into the main timeline and export the sound at high quality.
Just an update-- I was watching a youtube video when I pressed play to test the animation audio out, and both the audio from the animation AND the youtube video's audio stopped. Not sure if that'll help in solving the problem.
Hey guys! I hope I'm posting this in the correct part of the forum. I've been getting complaints about how some people are not hearing the audio in my series after they click play. In the past this has worked fine and nobody had any problems, but about 2 weeks ago people are saying the audio just mutes as soon as the episode starts. I didn't have the problem at first, but now I do as well! I can't seem to figure this out, so if anyone can give me any insight, I'd be very grateful! I've been trying to release the next episode but am afraid the same problem will occur while in the portal.
Here is one of the latest episodes (this prob is now effecting them all)-
Our Heroes stumble across a Witch's Hut!

Ellis from Left 4 Dead 2. I went to a party w/o the gun for obvious reasons.
WOAH! I won!? Holy hell! I just got home from work and KAPOW I spot this! Thank you, Mr. Tom! Very much appreciated! I'll promise to put the tablet to good use. And thanks to everyone who's posting. Thank you everyone!
Damn, I gotta start working on the next Circuit Skirmish now. More drawing and less Left4Dead!
Hey there, NGers. I was just curious-- I've been doing some random writing lately and found myself writing about what you should and shouldn't do if you're definately considering going to school for any sort of media-arts program (animation, motion graphics, game-design...etc). It's covering topics from how to choose the correct school to how to deal with employers wanting freelance work.
I'm sure it may benefit some people on this site who are in their last year of HS or are currently enrolled in an institute, but I'm wondering if it's been done already (posted on the forum maybe?). I'm still in the rough-draft phase of it, so let me know if you'd read it if I posted it here or in the forum (or both?). Also feel free to ask questions that I could throw in some potential answers to and could throw into the writing I'm doing.
POST YER UHPINYUNS PLEEZ, LADS! And go watch Circuit Skirmish 2 if you're bored.
Dang I didn't win anything. Ah well. I guess people have always preffered dbz-copyrighted vg-sprite movies better. I should have known!
But some studio just contacted me...they want Camel Spider to be on a show in the UK. YESSSSSSSSSSS!
A friend and I are looking for this animation we both saw about a year ago or so...it was this crazy japanese animation with...well...I'll make a list of what we both remember--
a.) The main characters were small rabbits who were like the voltron force
b.) They piloted a giant mech which fought this red robot squid who was terrorizing a city. The 'thing' piloting the giant robot squid was this squid-military-general-looking guy.
c.) It was obviously a parody of a bunch of random japanese toons like robotech and whatnot
d.) It had a weird title
I doubt it was a newgrounds exclusive, but the animation was done quite well. Sorry as this sounds EXTREMELY vague, but if you know what we're talking about or have a link to the certain animation, please leave it! Hope someone can help us as we're desperate to find it. Thanks!
I believe there is. Adobe After Effects Imports swf movies I believe. You can then render it as an avi.
Heheh...I'd like to make my own, but my mic just isn't professional enough. And sounddogs? I have sign up and buy a 2 second sound for 5 bucks? Ehhh....I'll think about it. If anyone else has one though, I'm looking!
Hey guys. Really sorry to post a sound request here, but I seriously cannot find a decent quality stomach-growling/groaning noise ANYWHERE at all. If anyone on NG has one that they can throw to me, I'd REALLY appreciate it!
I'm preferrably looking for one that's 16 bit 44.1 Khz just because of quality. Anything near or above that is fine. I've already checked a bunch of sites like freesounds.com and the like and didn't find a thing.
Hope someone can help me out. Thanks!
I was enjoying/ puking at the submissions today when I noticed this guy stole a gaming orchestra peice and he claims it as his own--
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=151081
Unfortunately I could not spot a "This is stolen material" button, and I noticed it was actually getting a decent score despite it being a bad sprite movie AND the guy who claims the music to be his own! Read the reviews! People think HE did the excellent music despite himself not knowing how to spell "beautiful".
Am I just over-exaggerating or do you agree this needs to get blammed?
And if anyone wants that great peice of Earthbound music, AIM me and I'll give it to you for proof.
