Also, I understand you're taking a lot of influence from manga, but understand the reason manga artists shape their speech bubbles the way they do is because Japanese is read top to bottom, rather than left to right like in English. When people translate manga, they're forced to use speech bubble shapes that aren't natural for reading English. You should take a look at some originally English language comics to learn more about how to shape your speech bubbles and organise the dialogue within them.
As I did state in my post above I am working on updating the comic with a new font (see below) but I agree with the text bubble thing, I common issue I have is a plan the text bubble placement before I draw the page to be sure I don't cover up anything that took me a long time to draw by placing the bubble after any tips on a better way around this or should I just plan the layouts better.
Hey guys and gals thanks for checking on my thread.
So today I have come to these forums to get some feedback on the art side of my webcomic as I have been searching around for a while for a good place to get some good feedback and newgrounds was recommended to me be a friend.
Whilst I have gotten plenty of writing feedback (which I am slowly working on improving) I very rarely get very constructive art feedback, a lot of the time I just get a "That looks good" or "that looks odd" without anyone going in to details even around the webcomic community
Below I have posted a page just to give you an idea of the art style, I will post more pages as time goes on (Obviously I would rather not just post the whole comic here) And I will try to get a verity of pages styles (Action pages, Conversation pages, Event pages) just so everyone can see a verity of the artwork, if you want to see the whole comic to get a better overview of all of the art, it's in my signature and can be found here
Now I am after a art critique or tips on how I can improve but I welcome writing feedback as well (though I know many of the mistakes I keep making already and I am going back to early pages to fix it)
Things I already know stick out which might be mentioned is the front I use for text which again I have just started to edit earlier pages to change the font to a more appealing one.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help me out I really look forward to hearing your feedback.
(If I have broken any rules here I am very sorry I am kind of new to forums)
