(would've said "console" or "system" but character limit is FTL)
Forgive me if this' already been threaded, but the internet lines are running wild with epically proportioned rumors that Nintendo is actually planning a big announcement at E3, "if not earlier" [sic] relating to a successor to the Wii which may be seeing itself on store shelves sometime [late] next year.
Without further ado, speculate away on what you'd like to see in the new Nintendo console/system/entertainment thingy whether or not NIntendo does announce such a thing @ E3 2011!
iRO, now known as PlayRagnarok, made this update (if this is relatively old, please excuse my slowness). I'm floored.
Hell must be having another snow day, after I came across this.
I'd been a Valkyrie user for some time, and am amazed that we are finally enjoying a Ragnarok Online experience that our friends across the pond have been enjoying for years, with a bit of a catch however...
Aside from now being monthly subscription free now, Gravity Inc. of America or WarpPortal is now marketing what appears to be a "subscription-like" service called the VIP Package. I'm still not completely sure how it works, but basically it seems to have the same offers on rates and whatnot as it did in the old subscription vs Valkyrie (F2P) system.
It seems nice that they seem to be trying hard now to avoid forcing people to pay for their services, but the company has to make its money somehow. I imagine this VIP Package is more likely a step towards what companies like OutSpark and Ntreev have taken, where the gameplay is free, yet if you want to enhance your experience or take the easy way into acquiring certain things that would seem like an eternity to get through gameplay, that's where you gladly pay them for it!
Speaking of M-Bot, anyone notice that his profile image of its face looks a lot like the M-Bot's [scan] ID pic you see in Armada (Dreamcast)?
Love using Mac, still miss the Amiga.

An article depicting Homeland Security wanting to ban the selling of Final Fantasy VII in any shape or form. TL;DR? Dubya [would've REALLY] sucked!
Btw, if this really is April Fool's oriented, I have no idea why the park anyone would post something like this this early, perhaps just to make it sound REAL.
If this really is just a "shock topic", I remember this was a very convincing read back in 05', and I think it really could've happened. There's an extended version of the article elsewhere, but I don't know where, but when you read it, it becomes truly clear that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.
I wonder what actual interest a Minnesota based big box store would have with a Pennsylvania based online cess--er I mean creative utopia?
For the record Target is actually starting to show promise in [the first time in four years] selling groceries or the "most important" daily things at prices significantly lower than Wal-Mart. According to this article, it's thanks to experiencing the recession.
What it could mean for NewGrounds if this is as legit as the OP appears to claim it is (considering this is NG, are we ever completely sure of authenticity?), is that NG has gotten corporate attention, and may lead to strong funding, and perhaps less annoying ads (or not, I mean we saw what Google did with YouTube after they acquired them; essentially every other video has someone commenting "F5" (or perhaps to a lesser extend "cmd-R").
Some acquisitions hold no real consequences, I mean though Square-Enix has Taito and Eidos at their disposal, we aren't seeing any Lara Croft RPGs or RayStorm pilots duking it out with the Highwind.
There have also been a number of rejections, and Tecmo was no exception when S-E proposed to acquire them (now THAT would've been something; picturing Tifa trash talk Hitomi into a DoA match).
For now, I think it's safe to say we just don't know. The Fulps certainly would've made this topic a big deal, long before now!

I think you mean "month-day-year". The only place I know of that appears to use what you mentioned as a standard is Japan.
For example in a [Japanese] behind the scenes video of then Square[soft] (and Final Fantasy VII), IIRC the birth date of Nobuo Uematsu is displayed in the video as 1959/21/03 (for whatever reason, I wouldn't know why).
Can't find the vid on YouTube atm, but sooner or later it may be found with patience.
I understand a number of ads and whatnot SONY related have tended to be controversial lately, but the FCC or whoever's behind the prevention of this ad going public is sad.
This articlepretty much says that the content of it is to the point it's only available for viewing online.
I mean look at the comments, I'm sure a lot of what the YouTubers are saying here reflect the thoughts of a good number of NewGrounders.
What do you think?
Wow even students here are getting in on it? Sorry, but I just made a similar thread about Snyder and Michigan not too long ago.
I really don't want this stuff to become a reality, but...I just don't know! I'm a college student here myself, but I haven't heard anything about this.

'Tis an attention grabber, suggested (and seems effective) on the RuneScape forums.

Um, Wade? This, oddly enough seems like it's going to become a reality here in Michigan in the not-too-distant future, but in this case, we've had a protest AGAINST this kind of thing along with other ".beyond controversial" plans our newly appointed governor has up his crooked, deceptive sleeve.
Numerous state police stations in and around this state are either being closed or have already been closed up, so this "emergency management" thing really can take off. I'd love to share more about what's happening here, but I think I should just make a thread, so I don't derail this one.

It's a movie done by Zack Snyder (of "300" and "Watchmen" fame), that's specially designed for those who are fans of anime and heavy metal. Just what I've gathered.

Do you think its right to use violence to deal with racism?

Martin Luther King refused to use violence as a weapon during his Civil Rights Movement campaign. Violence is really one less thing we should ever have to use in life.
I'd typically just try to play it off or simply say something like "I'm not like that" or "so that's what you think?".
It's something that shouldn't exist, really. Race itself is annoying to think about, as it's really doing more harm than good for the world. It's just another way to separate people from other people outside of other "factors" like ethnicity, wealth, creed, etc. Separation makes it harder for humans to get along, perhaps more than anything else.
The media as well as how people are raised up are perhaps reasons why people you may or may not know will treat you with prejudice or profile you; the preceding terms make more sense after taking a course in sociology.
I know I'm not really answering your question that well, but the problem is that very few people know or want to believe that every last one of us has origins in Africa, regardless of color or any other feature corrupt and confused people want to label anyone with. If everyone knew and understood the truth about there not being an actual gene for race, it would be, well, non-existent. No matter where you go, you'll find it (even [perhaps infamously] on Chatroulette!), from home to across the globe, it's next to impossible to avoid this type of conflict.
For the longest I use to think of Eastern Asia, or Japan in more detail as the "final frontier" of the human expansion of the world, before they crossed the landbridge into the Western world, if the evidence the scientists have found indeed is 100% true about Africa being the true motherland of humanity. With that mindset, I found joy in coming across this; why Eastern Asia/Japan you may ask? Well I also found this to be the best most epic evidence of my thougts/dreams (look at the eyes!).
I think when more people see vids like this, their eyes will be as open as those of Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis, when they ate from the Tree of Knowledge (for those like myself who believe that, anyway). Quit humiliating yourself, and join me!
It's out today! Have not seen it...yet! Will you or have you seen it! If yea, what did ya think?

i have another question, and i doubt anyone will know why this happens, but imma give it a shot anyways.
on my garageband songs, i usually only run my vocals through one effect.
multi-band compresser(default settings)
it makes the tracks very soft, so i usually crank up the db on the track to +6.
this works very well, because, it keeps the overall volume at a almost perfect level.
problem: sometimes when previewing the song, right where the vocal clip comes in,
i hear popping sound, which doesn't actually matter, except for the fact that when i export the song, it sometimes puts the "popping sound" into the finished aif.
i know it has something to do with the multiband compressor effect, but i really don't know what.
Hmm, well, there are a few things I'd think about, to help fix this, but I can't guarantee much change with it, as I don't work all that much with vocals. A couple factors that immediately came to mind is that either 1. there is a lot going on when the vocals come in, perhaps making the CPU indicator turn yellow or red, or the master track is going into the red (or BOTH!).
Other than that, I think tinkering around with the Noise Gate feature might help minimize the noise if it's range doesn't hang in the same spot as the meat of the vocals do. Also maybe play around a bit with the multiband compressor itself to perhaps mask the frequency the popping noise may occupy (hopefully, this works and GB/Mac isn't trying to grind your gears).
Other than that, I don't know much else about what could cause it,

still I think I can confidently say that it was still a success - as long as we still get more than 8 contestants I still consider it a success. If we get less than 8 though there will be an issue.
And if it's exactly 8?
I understand this is fairly minor compared to the ever growing death toll of Japanese in Japan, but here's an article for you, noting that these days, no disaster is truly limited to just one nationality:

Reading the karma threads throughout the net, made me think that nobody has really read the Bhagavad-Gita to understand what true karma is (fate in the next life). But just know, that just like this tragedy in Japan, there were American P.O.W.s in prison bunkers that were also killed in the atomic bombings of 1945. A sad truth.

That could very well be what the problem is: I may have been using HTML that wasn't permitted, in PMs.
It seems that no browser is safe from this problem >_<:

Hi,
Um, for some reason I can't send a message. Everytime I click "Send Message!", this dialog box shows up.
Anyone tell me what it means?:
The following tutorial on ADSR envelopes should be of great help to you and others, regardless of DAW/synthesizer/sound editor:
