Also yes most of the admins Ive heard from found these to be hilarious so thats why its on frontpage.
In any case this will hopefully have some positive impact on the site and by that I mean less of these absurdly fuckin stupid videogame parodies and more original stuff. I got no beef if people like VG shit but when it oversaturates the fuckin portal and other artists who actually put work and thought into their peices get overlooked, then its pretty gay! Especially if theyre getting paid for this effortless shit by winning all those awards. Hope it at least reached a few people.
i agree, i mean its ok to like VG shit in small doses, but there is just an absolute LEGION of morons who come to newgrounds ONLY to watch videogame related shit at the expense of ALL else. its just painful, they are so locked into their narrow-minded videogame-centered view of flash animation, they hardly know anything outside of it! shit, theyre so fuckin dumb they cant even see "metal gear funnies" as the blatant and obvious satire it is. the humor goes in one ear and out the other. man, 13 yr olds can be dense and stubborn as fuckin shit.
but yeah every positive review i see from someone who "gets" the flash is a ray of hope for newgrounds. thats the most surprising aspect of the flash to me, not the score but the number of people who are saying "you're all morons, this was funny." i didnt think they existed anymore. the support in this thread is a real surprise too. it shows there are still semi intelligent, rational people who come here! that's kind of a bad thing though, the idiots are just sooo much more fun to fuck with
i think tom may agree with the message of metal gear funnies as well. for the next staff project he wants to shift focus away from videogame related collabs towards an original collab.
