I don't know much about country genres and all that, all I know is that throughout middle school I had to suffer through the pain and agony of listening to country music every fucking day in the carpool. It made me want to pull my hair out.
Every single horrid country song I listened to was so sappy it made me want to barf. Every single one also seemed to sing in a twangy, whiny voice, even in the 'happy' country songs. And you could hear and understand every fucking word of the god awful lyrics. I also REALLY hated the people who listened to it and forced me to listen to it. They were the absolute, bottom of the barrel, complete and total white trash redneck dumbasses. Their kid almost flunked out of middle school. You have to be pretty damn stupid for that to happen.
Thankfully, I never have to listen to it again since I've gotten out of middle school, but my brother had to suffer through the same carpool in the same middle school. They started playing Toby Keith who was singing about "why did we invade I-rack? Were you here the day those towers fellll"
So, in other word, not only to I utterly and completely despise the sickening sound of country music, I also have little to no respect for those who listen to it. I downright hate the people who make it.
Two exceptions to the horrid country music rule: Willy Nelson and Johnny Cash. I have respect for those guys. I still don't enjoy their music though.
