But wouldn't it be hard to prevent a car accident in just 10 seconds? You couldn't really get everyone out the car in 10 seconds, or do any other way or escaping/preventing it.

In my opinion, one of 2 things could happen:
1. The tome being absolute and always right, the book would immediately rewrite itself when he reads it as he will avoid what happens.
2. The tomb is right, and will be, so therefore he cannot avoid what the tome says, and it will happen no matter what.
If you uninstalled the game, then the saves would have gone with it, you reinstalled the game, but you don't get the saves back.
