I'd have to say that while I approve of Tom's idea of the method of social commentary by shocking the masses, and the flash animation does just that, I'd have to say that it kind of pisses me off and is tasteless.
The only reason why I think it's distasteful, however, is because the flash animator "[has] little interest in what goes on in the middle east so I don't share any extreme views. I just think people who blow themselves up are stupid."
I agree, they are stupid, but you don't see me making an offensive flash game out of it. It sounds like the animator is uneducated in what's really going on, and if he knew how horrible, and how HUGE an event this is, he'd probably change his mind. This war WILL NOT STOP until one side is COMPLETELY WIPED OUT. I actually think that the bullshit happening out there will drag the world into a third world war, America and Christians siding with the Jews, and the Arabic/Muslim (the other half of the world, funny how Saddam and Bin Laden hate(d) us too? Oh look, their Muslim.) siding with the Palestinians. Hopefully the author is old enough to get drafted.
Anyone who made fun of September 11th got flamed, to death. What if I made a "Try-to-crash-into-the-twin-towers flight simulator flash animation"? It's the same thing. I think that destroying an icon of capitolism by crashing airplanes into it is stupid, so by making a game out of it, I would be accomplishing what?
How fun would that be, huh? Pick your pilot, ready to become a martyr for your ideology. Make sure you smuggle those box cutters through the airport security! Slash your way through stewardess up to the cockpit! Hurry! Have to get control of the plane while it's still full of gas! Alright, let's go, have to hit the towers right in the middle, so we can trap as many people in it as possible! Oops, ran out of time, the passengers of the plane bum rushed you. Game over, try again. Or even better, you cleared all your goals so well, the towers actually fall over, and 3000+ people died, including yourself! High score!

I think thats because this Isralite/Palistinian war doesn't look us in the face, isn't on our soil, then people think it's not our problem. It's exactly this attitude that makes Americans so fucking ignorant and stupid.
This website is frequented by kids, most of which are clueless to what's really going on. Because this website is such an awesome example of freedom of expression, however, I can see how this could be a bad thing. I think it's just going to give the kids the wrong idea.
I usually never post, and never read the boards, so if you want to comment, fine. If you want to flame, bring it the fuck on. You won't win, though.
