No, in the Netherlands it is 18 to drive legally. You HAVE to take lessons at a profesional driving school, when your mentor thinks you are a responsible driver he'll aply for your exam. The dutch exams are much more difficult then the american ones. When you pass your exam you'll get a 5 year 'test' license. If you screw up big time (not the small violations) three times in that 5 year period you'll lose your license, if you don't you'll get you're real license.

I think that's pretty good way of keeping most of the danger of the road.

Veggiemeal... check your callender, what's today? I read on the teletext (or texttv whatever) today that Washington and New York were being bombed, and that was national television! Sick joke. This one is funny though.

I was being sarcastic too. All though I do think the world would be better off without borders, religion and leaders you can't get rid of them anymore. In a perfect world anarchy would work.

Response to: outlaw religion? Posted March 31st, 2003 in Politics

And while we are at it, why not get rid of country borders, a lot of wars are border conflicts. And how about the world leaders, some wars are fought because they just can't get along.

No, It's probably not because their just being nice. If you've watched the news lately you'd know that they think there is still room for a diplomatic solution.

Response to: BOYCOT FRANCE AND GERMANY Posted March 7th, 2003 in Politics

Okay, I'll defend my answer for you as it seems you didn't get it the first time.
First you start telling us about how France and Germany are must be supporting Iraq without giving us any information that could proof it, then you tell us to get informed. I don't think you have the right to tell anyone to get informed when you show no indication at all that you are informed yourself.

Think about it why would these two relativly small political and military powers be so against taking out a dictator with bio and chemical weapons.I dont think the French are against the war beacuse they are peace loving or that they are ungrateful, limp wristed, don't hurt me please take my country pussies (which they are), they are just stalling so they dont get caught. Why eles would they turn their back on the US who saved their asses. And Germany doesn't want anything to do with war since there last two failures WWI and WWII that and they don't want to get caught either.

That must be one of the dumbest things I have read EVER on the newgrounds bbs, including the general forum!!
Tell me have you actualy woken up and smelled the coffee, exactly how informed are you?

Response to: Nintendos next console Posted March 4th, 2003 in General

Nintendo is gonna make a new console and it will be released around the same time as the PS3 and the Ybox (?), that's not a fact but that's what I think will be most likely. Then gamers will have a choice, now there were allready millions of playstations sold when the GC and theXbox came out.

Okay, where did it say this topic was about gun control in the US. Sirterox' opinion is that people should all have guns (or the right to have them), I take it that with people he ment all people including Europeans. I oppose his opinion and by comparing the US with Europe I'm trying to make my point about why I'm for gun control. That's called discussion.

However I do understand that it would be very difficult if not impossible for the US to abandon the right to have guns.

Besides, gun control will only make the "gun problem" (like there even is one!) much worse than all of you think it already is now!

MY GOD!!! Did you fight for your country agianst the British? How old are you?
Just because your great great grantfather shot a Brit doesn't automaticly mean you should have the right to carry a gun. If that was the case than every Brit should have the right to carry a sword and a battleaxe because the Normans fought off the Saxons with them. (If I'm wrong about the Normans kicking out the Saxon please correct me but my point stays)

But the broke guy will shoot first if he sees mr Wong go for his gun because he's allready aiming.

Has anyone, anyone at all considered the fact that it's a bigger step to buy a gun on the black market then in a legal shop on the corner. Especialy for a beginning criminal (someone who isn't a criminal yet but he's considering it) who doesn't own a gun yet.

here are two situations:
(without gun control)
Broke guy: thinking "damn I'm broke, I really need to get me some money, now were can I find some easy money? I know, I'll go to Billy Bob's gun Boutique, buy myself a nice Smith & Wesson and hold up ol' mister Wongs Noodle Shop.

(with gun control)
Same broke guy: thinking "damn I'm broke, I really need to get myself some money, now where can I find some easy money? If only I could get a gun somewhere without having to contact criminals. Nah, I'd better get a decent job.

^^^^^^I'm sure that happens^^^^^^

I'm sure there are people out there that would threaten someone with a gun if only it was easier to get one. Now it's so difficult (or dangerous) to get one they just don't bother, and use other ways to make their statement.

you make it sound like guns are made for crime. they're not. i don't know what gave you that idea. guns are made for hunting, self-defense, ect. crime is a misuse of a gun like spraying an aerosol can in someone's eyes.

The main function for a gun is killing which is good if it's done for hunting (for food not fun). The secundary function of a gun is self defense against other people with a gun. I don't know about you but I prefer not having to defend myself against a gun over defending myself against a gun WITH a gun.

As for your knife/car examples, those were not designed to kill. A car brings you to work everyday and a knife cuts your bread. My point: You can kill anyone with everything but a gun makes it to easy, you can run away from a knife but there's no running away from a gun.
