Ive heard bad and good things about all three and I was curious what would be my best bet for audio production...?

Headphones should never really be used for production. You should be looking at a set of studio monitors!
Mixing down in headphones can be pretty untrue but you would be fine with monitors (as they have a true flat response.) Might be a bit extra money but its well worth it.
The mix from a pair of headphones sounds different on monitors. And if they claim they are studio headphones, that's usually for monitoring vocals and solo instruments when live recording.
Its upto you obviously, but take a good look around the net for studio monitors, you won't regret it!

If you're "the real deal' or not there is moderator's job, not forum users' job. Yet, if you want to prove that you're a real music producer HERE, give it a shot, just for fun ;)

I've not had that much luck with remixes before. Its the one thing i really haven't tried much of. Collabs are the same too, i reach a mental block every time i try.

I have just listened to the song and its not in english?!?! not very practical for a dubstep remix as i cant tell when to drop the voice ect....

Not your thing?
Lack of dynamics. Im not one to whine about over-limiting and over-master compression, but when i can see the wave form and i see a freakin SQUARE i get really turned off/a little annoyed. Listening back again its not too bad, and the mix sounds relatively calm for something like that loud.

It might just be me, but my ears kind of hurt afterwards, but ive also been mixing tunes all day as well.

There's only light limiting on my Synogence tracks.... Soundcloud compression could be the issue.
I haven't pushed the limiter that high and i've actually never been told that its too limited. Even from big names such as Numbernin6 and radio Dj's And the label that has signed the 4 tracks on my soundcloud. Also depends on what your listening through, if your listening on Laptop speakers as allot of people do, well that's a problem in itself to be honest.
Deep dubstep needs good speakers with a low frequency responce, or your just listening to the highs and mids, and thats not listening to the whole song really.
Dubstep is one of the genres that needs a good system to be listened on, to enjoy it in its full form.

Well you certainly can keep yourself calm in an argument. And while this may be true modesty is always the best route to take.

Now that there's little suspicion I'll check things out.

Well i didn't join here to make enemies, i'm usually chilled out about things unless its in person.
And feel free to ask any questions, as you said. theres nothing to loose really. I've posted a status on my official facebook saying "Newgrounds.....lol" haha. so just go look at that and there is your proof.

Why don't you just tell us your artist name? I mean, you mention how important you are in nearly every post you've written as if that's meant to change our opinion and you offer no name as if there's some sort of reputation you're trying to keep. I honestly don't see why you're hiding anything, nothing could possibly go wrong from us knowing who you are. Until we see some proof that you really are signed your opinion on the audio portal isn't any more valuable than the next guy, and though you sheepishly add "well it's just my opinion," it's pretty obvious what you're doing. You've been signed up here for 3 days. Unless you were frequenting the audio portal long before you made an account, which would make you a fan (and you're obviously not), there's absolutely no way you've had the experience to just down-talk an entire community.

Well to be honest, i've had writers block for about 6months and i have only just got my creativity back and i found myself writing a house track aswell as starting a new dubstep tune.
But i didn't want to share my dubstep track because at the moment ive spend about 12hours on an intro and i doubt you want to hear 27seconds of an intro.

But the reason i'm posting here is because i need a spur on, because its pretty much died down around my Dubstep name except for a few Gigs in the UK and overseas. Mainly because i had writers block for so long, and an accident involving my hard-drive, in which i backed up everything but my custom FX folder, which unfortunately lead to a few tracks being dumped.
Never the less, im back on my feet now.

And i couldn't care less if one or more of you think i'm just chatting sh**. Its not like it makes a difference. But you have my word anyway.

Well that leads me to this question: what music *do* you think is good? If you haven't found anything that you like, my response is that you just haven't been looking hard enough. There are some really talented electronic musicians and bona fide classically-trained composers here. You just have to dig through the pages and pages of Skrillex wannabe's to find them.

And you said it was undeveloped, that's because its a work in progress...
Instead of complaining when people say it sounds repetitive, then, you could focus your efforts on making the final version more dynamic and more tonally and rhythmically interesting.

Also, I believe you were looking for the past participle form of the verb 'to finish.' "Finnish" is someone or something originating from the Nordic country of Finland. ;-)

Skrillex isn't too bad, but hes pretty much hated in the undergorund scene. lol!
And i would post my dubstep here but its vertually impossible because i need all my tracks for release. im sure it would get a better response than my house because of the big names that are playing my tracks out, and big labels wanting tracks.

My spelling isn't too good either haha thanks for pointing that out..

Ill have another look at some artists on here later on!

Your song is well-produced but it's still pretty generic and it's nothing we haven't heard before. If you want I can send you a PM with a few links to some really good Audio Portal songs.

Just don't judge the Audio Portal from the tracks that there are in the Weekly Tops or the Top 30 All Time. Those are there because they have really good scores, and the score system is abused very heavily (people voting 5 on their own tracks, 0 on other people's tracks, etc... just so that they could come out on top). But enough of that - if you want to know more about it and discuss it, then I'd suggest going over here.

What i meant by stopping posting house tracks here (Or stop making them.) is because i need to focus on my dubstep really rather than house. if i have to adapt different styles for making house then its going to slow my dubstep down and im already really slow at finishing tracks.

(sorry for double post.)

Your track is good but doesn't hold a finger to some of the other Audio Portal submissions. That said, why would you stop submitting here just because people might not like your House songs? What is there to lose by submitting here? You said yourself you enjoy making House, and by submitting your House tracks to Newgrounds, you can get feedback and reviews to find out where you need to get better.

Coming on here and acting like the goddamn king of music really doesn't help your case, though; honestly, until you reach the levels of Mozart and Beethoven, there will always be better musicians than you.

I'm not acting like i'm the king of music. I've just yet to hear a good track on the audio portal, and that's my opinion right? I'm not being ego about the situation at all. Im just very picky and i tried to word it so it wasn't harsh to others.
And you said it was undeveloped, that's because its a work in progress...

Im signed for both dubstep and Garage/Chilled dubstep tracks.

The House tracks i am uploading here under the name "Everlist" are not signed. (more of an experiment really.)
I've had one review on my track so far and it was pretty harsh, which really surprised me because i was expecting people to be really impressed, compared to the other audio submissions on here. (as cold as it sounds, that's just my opinion.)
And this is the exact reason i'm not releasing my actual dubstep alias's names.
If everybody thinks the same as this first reviewer then i will shut my account down and go back to dubstep full time because i'm new to house and i don't really listen to house, i just enjoy making it.

Well the stuff I'm uploading here has nothing todo with my Dubstep.
It's a house/trance mix (as far as I know.)
Also, the track I uploaded is an unfinished clip anyway!
I have no problem with letting the mods know about my other artist names, just in case they think the clip has been stolen. (my chilled Dubstep has similar piano melodies as everlist anyway.)
They can even add my official Facebook if they want confirmation haha.

Do you want me to pm you my soundcloud link? (You are a mod, right?)

Response to: Awaiting Audio Approval? Posted September 25th, 2011 in Audio

I have made a thread here about my waiting time!
(you should make this thread sticky, I didn't spot it.)

http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1273 089

Response to: Audio portal waiting times! Posted September 25th, 2011 in Audio

Never spotted that forum sub category.
Also, why don't you believe I'm a signed artist?

And I'm not going to release my Dubstep or garage/chilled Dubstep alias on this website quite yet.
All I will say is I'm currently producing an EP for Rottun (Excision's label.)

Audio portal waiting times! Posted September 25th, 2011 in Audio

I have read a few threads concerning the waiting times for the approval of an artist.
I have only been waiting for about 4 Days, and I fully understand that there are allot of artists in the waiting list.
But I'm looking to expand my allready established production skills to the gaming scene and I'm eager to hear what people think of my production skills.

I'm allready a major signed Dubstep artist with both vinyl and CD releases worldwide.
I also recently started an alternative Future garage alias off a few months ago.

I would really appreciate it if a moderator of the newgrounds team could have a look at my submission and approve me!
If that's not possible then that's fine, ill have to wait a couple of weeks.
Cheers!
