Wow, how long since I last posted? (not just here but in general). It's great to see how active this place is and how active everyone is. I'm alway surprised to see that I'm still included in the roll call (15] 16,625 | 0,133 | 04.4 | + 0.87 ever-vigilant Mjr) and that I'm not down the bottom because of my awful B/P rate. I remember when ALDLV was just behind me but now you have gone screaming past me in a blaze of glory as have several others.

Welcome to the new comers and my condolences to the ones who didn't make it. Either way it is great to see how active it is in here and that people are having fun in the barracks.

I would like to say I will be back soon but I think we all know its not true. Time just isn't on my side, bloody responseabilitys.

Recently my beloved Xbox 360 caught a fatal case of RRoD. What could I do? I was so enjoying left 4 Dead but now what? Where could I get my game fix? Once I finished crying like a girl I thought this would be a good oppertunity to rekindle an old flame. That flame was the Nintendo Game Cube. I played through some of my favirout games like Beyond Good and Evil and Resi 4. Then I got to thinking, there were some great games that I missed when they came out.

Off to my local GAME store and I Found they don't sell games that old. Undetered I hit eBay. I was able to get Doshin the Giant, Fire Emblem, Chibi Robo and Cell damage all for under £10 ($30?). Each one is a gem in their own rights. Then I borrowed a PS2 off my friend so I could play FF7 which I had only seen a couple of times in action.

Well I have my 360 back and you know what, I still haven't plugged it back in yet. I suggest you do the same and get out your PS1, PS2, N64, GameCube, Dreamcastor any other dated console and find a game worth it's weight in gold that you missed or simply take a trip down nostalgia lane. You will find a untapped vein of fun and happieness.

I just checked out the art portal and there are a lot of high quality submissions. I wonder how long that is going to last.

Sorry if this has been pointed out before but wont the chainsaw have a pipebomb, car alarm, forklift effect? All the noise it makes could be a good tactical tool but I'm not to sure if getting a single character swamped is a good idea. Like a portable boomer. I'm not overly impressed with the melee weapon idea.

I dont know about ruin the series but it would be a big dissapointment for me. I like the silent protagonist angle that they use, like in Saints Row 1 I prefered the character when he didnt talk but they ruined it by giving him some "hilarious" lines.

He is right, it definatly is not Fanle 2. It IS Fable one from the Xbox but I think you can download it from Xbox live. I would suggest you get it if you can.

Blamming because these days you know that if it gets blammed it deserves it. however their are plenty of flashes that get through that clearly dont deserve the score they recieve. That shouldn't be too hard, I remember the last clock day i voted (2007), I got quite a few blams, from the explicit sex ones, there were alot of meat spin submissions that day, I'm just glad other people had the sense to blam it.

I got very few blams on clock day and even the more unsettling ones got through. One that sticks in my mind from last year was an image of a wolf or wolfish dog severed head in a toilet. I blammed it but it still got through. I might submit a spammy image of anyold crap to see if it gets through or not. But it contradicts bot the portal and the barracks.

The only game I wanted to get a sequel has finnaly been confirmed to be in production, Beyond good and Evil 2

I was lucky and I got to miss the bulk of the crappy levels and started with a decent level. I missed a months worh of deposits this year so I'm about a levele behind what I could have been.

the problem with armour is that everyone ends up wearing the most potent armour they can find. thats what happened in the first one, all the good guys wore one type, all the bad guys wore the other. all the characters lost their sense of individuality under the heavy armour. With no armour we keep our identity.

Well, it's a start, now if they do that on a few more authors, we could clean up the portal. This is when spam is not funny or acceptable, and Barracks members who support (you know who you are) should take notice that your idea of funny doesn't always mean it's fit to stay on NG. Hey, thats me, no wait, I'm very bias. I was wondering what was with the Squf flashes. It's nice to see some justice still runs in the portal. How long ago did this happen? I also find it hard to belive that barracks members would protect spam as it goes against oue code of blamming honor (actually I can think of a couple). I would love to see a few more authors get the boot but thats just my NG wet dream.
