I don't agree with some of what you said, but I'm not so sure that it was even worth clarifying. Especially since I seem to have lost the specific section I disagreed with.

Well spoken. Hopefully I can make the changeover from new mod to respected mod. It's difficult to keep up with the stuff that's crappy that should be locked.

But yea, the topic you've listed that are done over and over again are the ones I consistently lock/delete when I see them.

I also heartily agree with your assessment of the LUL. I don't understand how people find any sort of attachment to the random accomplishments they seem to have. It has long ago lost its purpose of reporting exclusively level-ups and then just being a lounge, so I don't know why people still enjoy posting there. The whole "I just got XXXXXX of XXXXXX" and then "Congrats XXXXXXX for XXXXXXX" thing has to get really boring really quickly.

BigBlueBalls seems to have revived the listing scene a little bit more recently though with his top 2000 users list that he takes from the recent deposits screen.

And in true Wi/Ht? spirit, congrats on 10k. ;-)

Ok, here's the deal. Since this thread no longer has anything to do with the original intent, and nobody was willing to help this guy out in the first place (for many reasons, mainly his lack of credibility having no previous experience with movies or Flash and a complete lack of any sort of evidence), I'm going to put this thread out of its misery.

If you have any objections, feel free to take it up with me by email. The inbox is always open.

Here's how it works: the reason you put things in the right place is because regardless of how many people look there, that's the only place they're going to look for those sorts of things.

I see you've already posted in the Club for this sort of stuff, so I don't even need to point you to the right place.

Just be patient.

Look through this thread to find a bunch of programs that are decent. Most are listed with their prices and the website you can get them at next to them. Good luck!

Response to: Topics keep disappearing Posted March 19th, 2006 in Where is / How to?

If your topics are being deleted, don't repost them. If the mod catches you reposting topics that they have deleted you will be banned.

We sometimes leave an explanation as to why your topic is deleted, but sometimes we don't. In either case, you need to just take it in stride and not repost it if you want to remain unbanned.

Because there's a G-Bot. Look right next to the rules. Last I heard they were considering giving him a profile and some art attached to him.

Response to: Too much final fantasy threads Posted March 19th, 2006 in General

NG space isn't that valuable. We lock repeated threads unless they're interesting or provide some new spin on the old.

So thanks for your concern, but don't bother.

Response to: n00b question: Posted March 19th, 2006 in General

While you're poking around in the FAQ, make sure you check out the rules that are linked at the top of the BBS next to the green tank.

They discourage these sorts of topic, and in the future if you have any questions, lurk around in the Wi/Ht? forum.

Welcome aboard.

Upload that as your signature in your Grounds Gold menu, accessable by the "ACCOUNT OPTIONS" button in the upper right corner of every page you access on NG.

If you keep posting it like that with every post you make, you'll soon find yourself banned for picture spamming.

Response to: "Stop that" sigs Posted March 19th, 2006 in General

Muyburrito made them. You had to ask him in the thread he made back when sig threads were allowed that nobody will ever find because it's completely unsearchable.

In essence, don't defile their memory by trying to make one of your own. >:-(

Response to: Saddam says he wants WMD's in... Posted March 18th, 2006 in Politics

At 3/17/06 05:28 PM, Imperator wrote: Then name some former Presidents who DID have extensive international foreign affairs experience.

Can't be bothered.

I don't see why that's a valid criticism at all........

Sure it is. Lack of experience is always a valid criticism. Not that I said it was my personal criticism, just that that's what he was criticized for during his original election, and SURE ENOUGH he's made some big mistakes.

At 3/17/06 08:07 PM, Grammer wrote: No, actually, that's exactly what "being wrong" means. It's only lying if he knew there wasn't any WMD's when he told us there were. We can't prove that, so he did not lie.

He did know there weren't any. He was told by weapons inspectors that they found nothing.

But even though there were no WMD's, we still stopped a genocidal maniac, and that's a +1 in my book.

At the cost of 2000+ American, billions in American tax money, and loss of respect from a good chunk of the world. So whatever +1 we gained was cancelled right back out with those -1's.

At 3/17/06 08:28 PM, WolvenBear wrote: No, it means he was wrong, if there had in fact, been no WMDs. There were.
And everyone in the UN had the same info.

There were? Why can't he show them to anyone, or provide any proof, or get Saddam to admit to having them, or provide evidence of their existence? NOTHING.

And? Do you have a point? The US ain't the reason it's broken. Tho, to appeal to what's important to you, we can and do ignore it whenever we feel like. And there's NOTHING they can do about it. That in and of itself is broken.

Just interesting how you're painting the US as just when it all but is the UN.

http://www.slate.com/id/2102723

Hey, an unbiased source with a fair viewpoint. Good job on that one.

Most of them don't. Clinton didn't. Nor did Reagan. Nor Carter. Your point is moot.

No it isn't. They never entered a war without jus ad bellum, nor did they ignore the UN.

Not a whole lot has changed. The Arab world views us more favorably.

No they aren't. They resent us more than ever.

China hates us, but that's because the current President doesn't accept bribes from them like foreign Presidents. Nor is that valid criticism either. Just because others don't like us doesn't mean the President is doing a bad job.

Read the polls lately? Just recently the president was at an all time low for an approval rating. It means not just others think he's doing an awful job, but most people here as well.

You'll have to come up with something better than "the people who like us when we're doing what they want, don't like us as much because we're NOT doing what they want anymore."

We decided to act against the UN and went into Iraq anyway. That's not just "doing what others don't want," that's ignoring the entire point of the international body.

Yea, and it's something almost no one has going into the job. Give this point up. There is no way to continue this unless youre so ridiculously double standarded that you don't care whether your criticism is right or not. And it kinda seems like that's where you stand.

This is not my criticism. I just cited it as one of the many criticisms Bush faced coming in to office vs. Gore. I think it's telling that he was criticized for this and the problems people had with his lack of experience are showing.

THATS WHAT YOU SAID. It was valid to criticize Bush for having no experience, but not valid to criticize Clinton. Double. Standard. No one criticized Clinton for it. With good cause. Same deal with Bush. And of course infants aren't eligible. Was that moronic example supposed to have a point?

*Should. I think I'm allowed a typo, and I think if you weren't so eager to prove me idiotic for having a different and well-backed opinion you'd have noticed that.

"Clinton received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.) degree from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington D.C." [source] Normally I wouldn't quote something as questionable as Wikipedia, but I doubt they're lying about his degrees.

No, it's not. We do it all the time. That's my point. One you keep circling around. Hence, circular logic. OK for Clinton, not ok for Bush.

Clinton held a degree that qualified him in that field. Bush does not.

So you admit it was a reactionary move now? Good, we're agreed.

Not sure what you're talking about, but no.

And ignoring the UN isn't a bad thing. They're useless. They allow China, Iran and Pakistan to make policy decisions on world human rights.

Yea, fuck democracy. Only the people we think should make the decisions can have a say.

We're still in Afghanistan. We didn't abandon it. Strike. It wasn't unjustified. Strike two. And we're not "unsupported". Strike three. You sir are out. And that was the most fictional sentence I've read outside of a Michael Moore book.

The effort in Afghanistan is much less than that of the effort in Iraq. Even still, and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, remember? Afghanistan wasn't unjustified, Iraq was. Unless you count falsities, which I guess you do. And we are unsupported. The UN isn't supporting the war in Iraq in the least. Half the country doesn't support the war.

You can see someone's profile if they:
1. Have created one, or aren't a vagrant
2. Have posted to the BBS (do a search by author on the BBS)
3. Have submitted a movie to the portal
4. Have submitted Audio to the portal
5. Have directly linked you to your profile.

As of now, those are the only ways you'll be able to find someone else's profile.

Nope, you only get whistle points for whistling stolen, abusive, or malicious flash, or whistling abusive reviews.

However, a tip I would give you would be to check the topic entitled "Rage's Gift to you: Abusive reviews."

Good luck. LittleWashu and _Joe_ are the only two with the gold whistle, with ramagi being the only user with a diety whistle.

It'll be done when it's done. Just be patient, or, if you're really upset about it, you can send a reasonable email to Tom@newgrounds.com saying how you're a huge fan of Pico and would love to see a sequel put out for it.

Can't guarentee positive results though, since I'm sure Tom's been hearing it since 2003.
