It's the difference between unchangeable behavior, and a changeable attitude. Although, to be honest, I have no problem with anyone deciding to think any way they want, that is, until it's hurting someone else in a very real way.

Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts, mutilated monkey feet, chopped up little parakeet; all put together with all purpose porpoise puss. That's what we had for lunch, without a straw.

Hope that helps.

Gotta love all the reviews that mass 0's without explaining them. I'd rack up more than one page's worth of whistle points if I cared more.

It's obvious that it was just a coordinated effort to get it to be a turd of the week. I bet people felt like it was vindication for his last flash getting deleted before receiving the turd.

Lame.

Response to: Very Cool Honda Commercial Posted April 11th, 2006 in General

The tires went up the ramp because they had weights in the top part of them. So when they were nudged and momentum carried them forward, the weights took over and overcame the force of gravity to pull the tires up the ramp.

I read an interesting article on it. Honda wasn't too happy because in order to make that masterpiece of a commercial they had to take apart one of less than 10 hand made models of a certain car completely. Everything seen there was all done in two takes, the first half was spliced together with the second half through clever film splicing to make it all be continuous. They are joined right at the minute mark, which is about where the muffler rolls off towards the catapault thing.

I couldn't find the history right now if you asked me, but it's pretty interesting. I'm amazed by the movie every time I see it.

Response to: Rum, Tequilla, or Vodka? Posted April 11th, 2006 in General

I usually go for the Rum or Vodka. Although Tequila isn't have bad. If it's Rum, it's Bacardi 151 for amazing drunkness, or the Captain for a delicious coke-mix. If it's Vodka, I had a great time in Canada with Absolut Mandarin and Orange Juice, so I'd probably do that again, or try that Orange Gatorade Maus mentioned.

What I'm trying to say is, beer is better than liquor.

I guess you could look around in Clubs and Crews to see if anyone else had created a Wikipedia fan club yet, and if not, perhaps make one. But this doesn't belong in General.

At 4/11/06 11:08 AM, Shrapnel wrote: Have you at least vacuumed? Doesn't it get really gross if you haven't cleaned the floor or cleaned your sheets?

I know my room does. My roommate and I have collectively neglected to clean it in a long time. I haven't swept the floor in months, and never washed it to clean out the spills. Eventually our shoes rub off the stickyness from the spills, and even though it's a pain to have these little pebbles and crumbs and stuff that stick into my feet when I'm walking around, I don't clean it because my room mate's crap is in the way and I don't feel like moving his shit around.

Basically, unless we're both here and say "Hey let's clean this room RIGHT NOW" it won't get done.

Ahhh, college.

Response to: Songs That Make Posted April 11th, 2006 in General

I can't say that there are any songs that MAKE me cry. I'm not huge into doing things against my will, even involuntary responses like that. Even if it's voluntary, I'm not really a crying sorta person. Call it a guy thing.

But some songs that have huge sadness that I've attached to them include:

Walking By -- Something Corporate
One More Day -- Socialburn
Here Without You -- 3 Doors Down
Flavor of the Weeek -- American Hi Fi
Here's to the Night -- Eve 6
Troubled Times -- Fountains of Wayne

I bet there's more, but I could only manage two off the top of my head, and then didn't feel like looking through my entire library to find some songs like that.

Response to: Neglect. Posted April 11th, 2006 in General

I've neglected a bunch of things. It's not the neglect that is the problem, it's when it starts to catch up with you, starts to affect your life and you're still doing it is when it becomes a problem.

Needless to say, I'm sure it's a problem for me.

And also needless to say, I'll get to that.

Response to: regestered to vote Posted April 10th, 2006 in General

I'm not registered to vote, and won't be until just before the November '08 elections. Why? Because I was 17 and 11 months old when the last election rolled around, and since I'm currently attending college and way too young to care about State or Local politics. Once I've registered I'll probably be a fairly active voter, I'm sure, but I don't have the motivation until the next presidential election rolls around.

Or, my dad might end up pestering me about it this summer and I'll end up doing it just because it's generally a good idea. Meh. Why participate in a system that counts your vote, let's you die for it, but restricts your drinking habits?

Ha ha ha, I'm kidding. It's still stupid though.

yea... sleep.

Yep, it's 100% free. It may pester you about not having registered and paying for it, but it only does that for about 5 seconds after the 30 day free trial before letting you continue anyway.

It's a handy program if you know how to use it and are frequently on IRC.

Bans all clear at a set time of day every day. So your ban still has enough left on it that it won't be cleared until probably around midnight tonight, or whenever portal bans are cleared. I think it's safe to say that tomorrow you'll be able to upload, so wait until then.

That's an old trick. The first set of cards doesn't include any of the cards in the second set, they have the same two different sets, one with 5 cards, one with 6. The trick is that the cards are all the same face-cards, just with different suites attached to them.

I love how people have all sorts of ridiculous explanations that include the eyes. It doesn't matter what eye you click on, it always takes you to the same results page.

Either way, we're all set on picture topics.

Most people don't want children outside of marriage. That's across ALL religions. Unless there is some sect I have yet to hear about, ALL Christianity believes in marriage before sex, the Moslem faith does as well, and so does Judaism.

The point of that is that it puts you in a good position to raise a child properly. They actually don't ever specify that it's a sin to have sex outside of marriage, they just say it's a sin to have sex for anything else but to make a child, and that children should be had only within a marriage.

The population would grow just fine if everyone believed and followed such a philosophy. Maybe we wouldn't have the ridiculous overpopulation problems that the world today has.

Now, since you are a mod, you've become into a 'more serious person' o something... However, I still remember those lovely nights we spent together...

Hah. I think I've matured, but I've been cutting loose here on the BBS more and more, especially since being moderated. But I guess it's fair that you think that, afterall, outside opinions on the self are generally more reliable.

Evark, you must be one of the most mature users in this BBS... and that's something I admire of you... Look at me! I'm older than you but you really know when and how to behave yourself...

Thanks... perhaps? My veiled mockery sensors are going off. ;-)

Heh. I should've asked why you suddenly took to regular ol' Ozcar and ditched the Uncle prefix.

Indeed. Have a mighty fine vacation, sir.

Now I'm just left in this topic wondering who Mentok was. It'll take hours of research and lurking, but I willn't be denied the pleasure that such knowledge will undoubtedly deliver. Or sleep and forget about it until I see the account post again.

Bring it on.
