i can get that the hat is receiving most of the "direct light" but it still seems to empty compared to the rest of the image. with how blown out white that is, i would expect a little more shading on the right side of the face (prolly undse the ear and along the neck most of all) and a bit of shadow from the glasses or the cigarette.

Would posting a photo of what I painted be safe within the rules?

as long as the art on the body is your own art, and the pic is one that you took, if any nudity, then might want to post that it is Not Safe For Work, (NSFW) before posting pic.

as for the ones you posted already i think the work is awesome, (scorpion is prolly my favorite)

as for being "un-scouted" if the person who scouts you gets kicked don't all the people who they scouted also get kicked? (if so, it might not be your work inpeticular that got you "un-scouted")

i suppose if the space between her breasts and he apron was shaded darker you could try to get away with telling people she is bending forward towards the audience and that is why it looks "smushed".

don't know if this is helpful, also don't know what your looking at for reference but pics of

omg the hands, the hands are so tiny. i was never able to save her from the pig guy so i can't say as to if she does not have small hands, also cant comment on the realistic 'ness' of the pokemon, back in my day, it only went to 100. as has been stated before though, shading needs work, as well as proportions.

If you're gonna colour these by hand, make sure to fill in everything, don't leave white spaces.
Or you could digitally colour them, just get a freeware art program like Gimp or Paint.net

D: ... it was done with crayon, of my acrylic paint, pastel, color pencil, ink set, marker set, the crayons where the only one to offer a "skin" color. I have done some coloring on the comp with photoshop, but never like how it looks.

making 12 pics for each one of the month to make a quick 2012 calendar, except I'm terrible at coloring things in, so any feedback on the coloring would be nice.

just wondering what is it that your coloring these in with? and do you have any reasoning to what colors go where or just what ever you feel you like in that spot?

Response to: critique Posted December 14th, 2011 in Art

the above people hit all the "what's wrong with it" what's nice is the shoulder pice, with just a few defining lines it would look really nice. the "blood" on his axe and wrist look like it is spray-painted on, this would only happen at a good enough distance for the blood to mist in the air, try a little more solid on it and use mist around the face or chest area.

all i can think of is Andre Masson, Battle of the Fishes, 1926, it is a surrealist painting.
the black and white guy with the pencil and the eraser has promise, but it falls apart after that.

As for this pic, it's a pretty close tag to the actual image. Not 100% copied/traced, but still definitely clean and precise.

o ha, must have miss understood the rules, i don't want you to get the wrong idea tho, i did not trace it at all, i grid'ed the original image out in photoshop and used a scale grid on a pice of paper. none the less i thank you for your feedback and the info on posting

adding another image i just finished scanning to, unlike the others i added some shading and coloring, it is re-drawing of the pic that Sylvester Stallone is given by the woman in Expendables.
the Quote is
"Fashion is more powerful than any tyrant" (not from the movie)
it is a gift for my sis, she has a degree in fashion and i hope it makes a nice gift.

Sharpie Drawing Critique Posted December 12th, 2011 in Art

Just wanted some feedback on some sharpie drawings, the one i post here is the only one on my page that is not "Adult" or "NSFW". would like feedback on the other ones on my page tho, fair warning on the content, it is mild at best. once i draw one more of them, i am looking to use them as a 2012 calender for myself if feedback is positive.
