But if you were to walk into a restaurant you've never been into and asked "Wheres the bathroom?" and the hostess said "READ THE FUCKING SIGNS, THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED A MILLION TIMES BEFORE YOU FUCKING IDIOT" Then you got banned from the restaurant... would you ever recommend it to anyone?
This is not a good analogy.

haha yeah, it's kinda like that. Almost like all the elitists are protecting their baby (AP/AF) from newcomers.
Before we go any further, we must define:
1. What qualities make an AF elitist?
Is it how long they've been active?
How many posts they've made?
What they contribute to the AF and the AP?
2. Define who the elitists are.
In Envy's provided example, loan acts entirely rational (whether or not that was the point) to the newcomer. The only hint of aggression is the preface of "Jesus christ", which is neither a degrading statement or a show of discrimination. I emphasis preface because when the author replied with "too important for me", loan had the right to take it a step further because the author had completely disregarded all help.
But that's only one example. I do not know if he is an "elitist" or not, only that he posted in the AF.

Threads for EP's should be allowed. They don't really clog up the forum as they are not consistent everyday posts.
Might as well make a thread for EPs, because artists know they can just as well make a newspost about it.
