And of course the fact that my scholarship depends on it.

Regardless, the best way to keep yourself in shape is to set a schedule, for example.

What I do is the following, every other day I run about a 0.9 Km, It's not a lot I should run more.
But every night that I don't run I do my push ups and sit ups.

But start small first, don't expect to do 50 push ups in one sitting in your current state. Do as many as you can comfortably do, then rest for two days, then do a little bit more.

This will not get you instant results, but if you stick with it you will become fit eventually.

It's not hard and it's not time consuming, all it takes is a little effort.

Also, don't exercise the same muscles every day, the muscle tissue needs time to repair itself from the last workout.

ah, i see. so mabye if i alternated between say different muscle groups each day, that would be better than just working out everything, every day?

thanks for the insight, it really helps for a guy like me.

while i agree somewhat, i am quite determined; Surely to condemn one's target is a bit rash; hey, i'm not fit, and neither do i have a background in an acrobatic art, but its all about targets. the ability to practice parkour is ultimately what im aiming for, but in the meantime i'm just trying to get fit. i dont plan to start being ahead of the game and "OMG I WANT TO DO FREERUNNING NAO" .
i hope i can take things slow, build up to it...

walking/jogging is another step i'm about to start up on hopefully. theres a park around the back of my house so i figure i could jog/walk around that, its about a mile return.

Proper dieting is a plus too.Try to avoid soda/energy drinks and drink water/juice instead. For repetitions, you should try doing a small amount of reps, allot of sets with a long rest time.

ah, yes. generally i avoid them for a rule, lest i seriously need the sugar :)

Example
Two push ups - 30 second rest: Four Sets

And if you're having 'allot' of trouble with push ups, you should try doing modified push ups instead.

cool, i'll definetly give this a go, thanks for the advice!

Hey, so i've been pretty much a nerd for a while. and proud. let's say i don't get out of the house as much as i'd like to, with my friends of few are either becoming goths, or staying indoors playing on whichever console from the multitude they own. (not that i disagree with gaming in general).

So it's come to my attention, or at least my conscience, that i should try and get fit, considering i'm 15 and i should be frolicing outside. In the summer, I at least want to be able to run around and enjoy the sparse sunlight we get in the uk.
So i thought i'd take up parkour. Just moving your body around in an urban space strikes me as fun, and a good way of introducing an outdoor sport in an uban environment. But, of course... this takes a certain degree of starting fitness that i seem to lack. i'm not fat, but having spend a grand deal of my life indoors i feel like what i had in muscle strength and endurance is wasting away.

This might strike you as a bit "newbie/another fat geek", but im dead serious, and determined to improve my fitness, to reach my goal of being able to practice parkour properly.

Again, unfortunetly, my strength and endurance is lacking, even lifting my body weight is strenuous. I can't do a complete pull-up and through straining i can manage 1 chin-up, and . But i'm determined not to let that stop me so i've started doing regular sit-ups, half chin-ups, a few pressups , and other small workout excersizes i can do at home.
So my immeadiate targets are to build up enough strength to do the excersizes properly.

And my question is... do you have any sort of tips for a guy like me; possible excersizes, tips for leading into parkour, general fitness, techniques ect.

I thoroughly understand if it'll be a while before i can actually start on the parkour aspirations.

peace; I swear i'm not trolling.

not entirely true, vousielle. smudging is a technique to use while drawing with graphite. it's not part of the "process", and its not forcibly essential. it's a good technique, nontheless; but you dont Have to use it everytime you finish a piece.

4. go fuck with someone elses site i have stuff i need to do

what, like spend "6 months" on this train wreck of a site? i mean, seriously? six fucking months? we learnt to build basic webpages at school in 2 hours or LESS.

i dont want a fucktard (aka wreckages and danielz) war because as i said your fucktards

yeah, well why dont you take the hint:
NO-ONE WANTS TO FUCKING HELP YOU. STOP CREATING TOPICS

by the way i am not going to validate the html on my site because it is HTML not XHTML

yes, the validator does html too; and not validating it most likely proves that you wont/cant fix the problems in your markup

hey; i've been building a website for my HL2: Deathmatch clan recently using a combination of html, css and a scrap of php; but the real problem, i'm sure, lies in the css. I have a central container div, which houses everything and also serves as part of the background; and it's height is set to 100%. this works great until the browser window is resized , and you scroll down to see that the container is only the size of the browser window.

has anyone got any ideas? i already have my html and body tags set to 100% in the css.

er..

if(mc._currentframe == 50) {
gotoAndStop(5)

that should be it, you might want gotoAndPlay depending on your needs.

"black objects absorb all light"??? there are different types of reflections...I am talking about the water...a water reflection is a specular reflection simular to a mirror... it has nothing to with color...Reflections occur when the object has a high specular level...A black surface can have a reflection if the surface is shiney...think polished marble...

yes, and i was merely pointing out that matte black would be the only surface that relfects no light, because it appears black because of the absence of colour.

objects appear the colours they are because of the light they reflect. for instance, a red object relfects only the red colours in the spectrum of visual light.

almost true; black objects absorb all light and reflect none; most just reflect certain colours.

in this context, it's completely irrelevant; like comparing a mirror to a brick. they both reflect, right?

you cant "hinge" things as such, that would require something like ragdoll physics, which is complex coding; you can , however, change the center of rotation for each object so that when tweened, they appear to be attached.
