The most overdone topic, but fuck it, let's run with it.

If you had the ability to go back in time and change any number of events in your life, which would they be and why. :

Thinking generally, whatever happened in the past has made me who I am, and I don't regret it.

On a scientific note though, I wouldn't consider traveling through time, ever. Scientifically, in order to travel through time, one has to be phased out and teleported to another point in time, usually in the same location where the teleporting-out took place, however, one can argue that "time" does not even exist. In my point of view, time is a man-made thing used to classify events into specific categories (nanoseconds, seconds, minutes, years, epochs, eras) so technically if one were to time-travel, one would only teleport but to no place in particular. Another problem is that of ending up in the exact same location but at a different time, one must realize that the universe, galaxy, planets, even continental plates are constantly moving, and that you wouldn't end up at the "exact" same place.

Finally, the biggest problem I have with the concept of time travel it the teleportation itself; because you are teleported, all of your molecules (dna and atoms) have to be taken apart and reconfigured (theoretically) in another place, that also includes the food in your stomach, your tooth fillings, or braces (if you have any), your urine/fluids, and bodily wastes, your air, and not to forget, the surrounding atmosphere around your body. If you were to teleport all of these, take the air and space around you for example) and then send them five seconds into the past, the space in the past filled in by the space in the future would create a massive disruption of sorts between time and space, possibly creating a black hole, thus... destroying you... and maybe the rest of the world and nearby solar systems. It's just a thought though...

Response to: whats up with Che Guevara? Posted October 27th, 2004 in Politics

You're all nuts... and you all have said pretty much everything there is to be said on the matter that is Che Guevara... and then some. DragTheWater, although some of your arguments may be witty or smart, you rely on assumption, and it is evidence from your usage of words (in regards to your posts in this topic, namely the thread-startiing post) that you already hated communism from the get-go and that, that is the way your mind is set. I just hope that this insighful debate into Che Guevara's cause was not a complete waste and that you may see him differently, as more of a patriot of the people than another red mennace like Fidel, and if that is not the case, then w/e I'm hungry and I want to go to bed, g'nite.

That sucks... I thought of that wrestler as such a cool guy... now I realize he's just like the whole bunch was back in his day... rednecks and politically-challenged. Is the Ultimate Warrior still around even? I haven't seen him since like... 1998. Frankly, I don't think anyone cares about what his has-been ass has to say about politics, and quite frankly, neither do I, so I bid you adieu, and goodnight.

Ah... goodie, at last some closure. Let's hope the 6th installment/3rd episode of Star Wars is as equally promising. Not to state the obvious or anything, but... Lucas is calling the 3rd episode "The Return of Darth Vader." I didn't even know Darth Vader had already emerged before Anakin! Wow I totally missed that bit, I thought it would for-sure be "Enter Darth Vader" or something like that, but I guess he's returning... from doing his Verizon comercials or something, cause the guy that does the comercials does his voice... so... yeah I know you knew that.

That's the plan. I'm stuggling to not pop the question too early. Weddings, rings, receptions, and honeymoons cost money.

Oh yeah, tell me about it, my bro spent over $3K just on the honeymoon, everything was paid for :) room-service, cruises/tours, even the alcohol. Check out Cancun if you ever have time.

1. Prince Harry gets into a brawl outside of a bar in England.

2. A building (the first) is built over ground zero in New York City. The building is named Tower 7 (I believe) in memory of one of the twin towers, the first one that fell. So far no companies have signed up to house their offices there. Let's hope they don't think there's some sort of a curse there now.

3. And Finally... the fall of Fidel Castro. At long last...
