Response to: Macs Better Than Pc For Animation? Posted 3 days ago in Animation

I don't see why a Mac would be better than a PC for animation. My art teacher agrees that PC is far superior for animation. Here are a few reasons:

1. PC has more software, and more software that is used professionally.
2. You can customize your desktop PC if it starts getting old. For example, my projects have recently gotten bigger, so I decided to upgrade my graphics card for faster rendering. I could not do this on a mac.
3. PC laptops have better scrolling functions. For example, the simple press of a button will quickly allow you to scroll through different brushes, filters and effects. You cannot do this on a Macbook.
4. Most Macs simply aren't powerful enough for rendering or large scale animation. Those that are capable are stupidly overpriced.

So yeah, if anything, PC is far better for animation. As well as for everything else. The only thing I've ever used a mac for was to program an iPhone game, but then I stopped and decided to go back to doing proper work on my PC.

Thanks :) I'll try that

Animation In Progress Posted June 30th, 2014 in Animation

Just started an animation and if anyone felt like previewing it you can find it here:

Also, would it be a common thing to upload a preview onto Newgrounds, or should I wait until I actually finish the animation?

Response to: Virtual Camera Changing Aspectratio Posted June 27th, 2014 in Animation

Never mind, fixed it.

For a certain flash file in my animation, the virtual camera is squishing the image, and changing the aspect ration from wide to standard. Anyone know how to fix this?

I've tried re-implementing the virtual camera but the image remains squashed.
