Ohhh right, i forgot that communist nations can't have elections. Actually, you're wrong. Communism isn't actually a political tendence, it's an economical structure. It's just that it has been put together with dictatorships or authocracies most of the time, but it doesn't mean it should always be that way.

And, back on topic, i'm not even sure if the PSOE is Cold-War like socialism, in fact, im almost 100% sure it's "new" socialism, like, dunno, Brazil or Chile, so i don't see why you're creating such a big deal about it.

Wrong. Liberal is right-wing, moderate is more right-wing, and conservative is right-wingest (Oh well, maybe it is the way you say on the States.). Me? Democratic socialist, if anybody gives a sh**.

Who cares? No one's going to even notice the U.S. marines, because everyone will be looking at the... chileans! woo-hoo!!

The U.N. forces sent there are French-American-Chilean. Now that's weird.
And on this very particular case, if eventually this action can be translated into economical help to that poor-ass country (no offence), i'll support it.

No, i don't quite think so. We don't really hate them anyways, and even if we did, i don't think the Zapatistas would do something that big.

And news update: The ETA option is now almost completely discarded. Facts point to a Islamic extremist group (NOT CERTAINLY Al-Qaeda), probably organized in Morocco.

Oh, and a funny fact: A party on the spanish presidential elections is actually called "Agobiated and pissed-off citizens".

They are closely related to the 'Prieure de Sion' or the Priory of Zion, I'm pretty sure that the Prieure de Sion's goal is to restore the Merovingian Dynasty. Some people think that the Merovingians are the direct descendants of Jesus Christ.

Many famous people are rumored to be members of the Priory, including Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, Claude Debussey, Leonardo da Vinci and Robert Boyle.

They are related to the masons in that many of their rituals are very similar, specifically the Strict Observance rite, which is claimed to have come directly from Templars.

The Knights Templar grew in influence and wealth over the years, until by the end of the 13th century they were powerful enough to ignore, with apparent impunity, the edicts of various European monarchs.

No more Da Vinci Code for you, dude.

Response to: Best army force in the world? Posted February 20th, 2004 in Politics

Ok, here it goes. You see, this book ("Keys to understand the War", by Raúl Sohr) gives us 20 keys or aspects that, more or less, can define who will be the victor on a given war. It can also be useful when discussing issues like the one we have right here. I'll translate the 10 first chapters plus the resume of each:

Key 1: The basic ecuation
- To compare countries is a complex exercise. The mathematic sum of the aspects that conform the national power (Economy, population, arsenals & others) is still, far away from telling us what country will prevail in a conflict.
Key 2: The objective.
-The success or failure of a mission is measured related to the given objective. This is one of the most delicate issues, as it depends of an accurate diagnose of the situation. An error of setup in the objective can easily lead to the defeat or to an unfinishable conflict.

---dammit, i forgot that this can get quite boring after a while. Tell me if you're interested at all.

Yup. There are more important things to care about. And about that thing, i think that, even if it should be okay for them just having civil unions and marriage if they want, they must stick with the law while they wait for gay marriage to be legal.

But i don't get why they are called french fries! They're not even frech! And they certainly do not give freedom, so they can't be called freedom fries! They're snacks, not liberation armies for god's sake! The only truth about them is, that they are potatoes, and fried. Therefore, its name should be "fried potatoes"! Why do you want to confuse your people by calling them "french fries" or "freedom fries"? Why? It's madness!

Osama and his rap video... Posted February 9th, 2004 in Politics

No, this topic is not about any flash film posted on this site. What happens, people, is that, according to what i've just read on a website [a quite serious one] a rap video-clip created by a group that is supposed to be strongly connected to Al-Qaeda, is currently on the web, and is a total success so far. It features Sheikh Terra and the Soul Salah Crew, muslims currently living in London. The name of the video is "Dirty Kuffar"(Dirty Infidents) and it encourages young muslims to go on jihad against "christians and infident arab leaders", that will "burn on the fires of hell". Quoting a part of the catchy song:
"Dirty Kuffar wherever you are, from Kandahar to Ramallah, OBL (Osama Bin Laden)'s squad is like a brilliant star, just like we destroyed your two towers, ha-ha."
The video features Ayman Al-Zawhri (second-in-chief of Al Qaeda) transforming into a lion, Dubya Bush becoming a chimp, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia becoming a demon, etc. Ariel Sahron becomes a pig, while Yasser Arafat is labeled as a traitor.

I'm not sure if all this is true, maybe it's just a trick to degradate even more the image of Osama Bin...i mean, OBL (that sounds much cooler anyway), but maybe they ARE that desperate like to do that kind of crazy stuff. I'll leave it up to you.
