Here, this'll make you feel better:
You would have a car if you were rich. But you're not, you're poor, so you don't have a car.

Me, on the other side, I would have a car if I were rich AND if I lived in a country where the minimal age for gettin' a driver license WASN'T 18.

Yeh. I haven't done anything in, like, FOREVER now, and I'm just waiting to go buy the bus passages to go to La Serena for a few days.

Anyways. Take it easy, emo-boy.

Ahem. The Chilean Humanist Party is more like the American Green Party, by the way.
And while we're at that, the Chilean Communist Party has, since legallized in the 90's, been focusing gradually less in stupid political goals such as installing a new Stalinist-like regime, and more on small tasks that suit them quite well, such as supporting Unions and Worker rights.
They pretty much stopped being annoying once they gave up trying to get the center of attention and accepted a secondary role as a part of the "third-party" group.

At 7/16/05 08:00 PM, wondereyes wrote: Communism is just extreme socialisme, or am i missing a point?

According to the Manifesto, it's more like socialism is moderate communism.

At 7/16/05 08:26 PM, wondereyes wrote: The reason why there's poverty in Russia, is because there is no communism anymore, China's economy is doing great, Nicarague isn't a communist country.

Russia- YEAH RIGHT. Their living standard was quite crappy back in the URSS days. If anything, they've been doing better now. Russia wouldn't have reached the "real" communist dream in a thousand years.

China- It may be doing great as a country, but something's really going wrong if their citizens get their freedoms curtailed and receive so little wage that some of them must resort to sending their kids to sweatshops. It's just as bad as a capitalist country where the rich are very rich and the poor are very poor. In the end, it still sucks.

Nicaragua- Ever remotely heard of the Sandinistas? Theirs was a crappy government as well.

He was probably directed to that article from a news site or something. Either that or he's gay.

Right on.

I say that mainly because, last time I checked, the low-class Americans weren't just made up of ethnical minorities. There's also the so-called "white trash", or "trailer trash", or whatever you're supposed to call it. The only cases in which AA would seem acceptable to me in the way as it works now, would be:
A) If it was implemented immediately after the abolishing of slavery.
B) If all black people were poor, and all white people were rich.

As far as I know, none of those is the case now.
