The fights were cool, but the continuity was also shit (anakin goes from american to canadian to british?), the acting was shit, the script was shit and most of the new characters were shit (Jar-Jar Binks for example). the advantages and disadvantages of the prequels are ridiculously unbalanced.
I agree unfourtunatly. Jar Jar Binks is just fucking embarassing.
Then compare that to the originals where the acting was great, the characters were great (Yoda ftw),
I like CGI Yoda better than puppet Yoda. Puppet Yoda was a pervert. I'm referring to the scene where he's introduced to Luke for the first time. CGI Yoda of the new movies had a wise loom following him, while puppet Yoda just made me uncomfortable. Also CGI R2D2 was kind of cool when he burned the droids with his fuel. ANYWAYS. Harrison Ford in the old. Samuel Jackson in the new.
they didn't take themselves too seriously like with the prequels, the stories were quite brilliant and I think the campy 70s special effects gave it a greater appeal. Y'know in the scene when the Death Star was destroyed they made a to-scale model and shot it with pistols? :3
I didn't know that that's amazing. :3 Deffinatly adds to it all. In the end it's an overall great series. Both the old Episodes and the new ones had things that were better and worse than each other, but the series overall was lasting. Anybody who says the prequels were "money makers" are dumb, but I will give alot of credit to the older movies too, Star Wars is just fucking awesome.
