what do you mean? The minitoons I'm working on. I scripted the buttons to disapear completely when the mouse is hovering over them to give it a more theater look.

Response to: The Bunny Suicide Collab (soad) Posted March 5th, 2007 in Game Development

Maybe I should like move them to different sides to make them bigger.

Response to: The Bunny Suicide Collab (soad) Posted March 4th, 2007 in Game Development

The buttons made a huge difference I think.

Do you think the instructions as to how to work the mini-toons are needed. I kinda think it's necessary but it also seems like it's makes it crude. Maybe I should change it in someway.

Did you use a font or make the letters for "Bunny"

But the moving of the button is done well, I like the idea

yeah I know that's why I'm asking if someone wants to help on that. Doing five quality ones is difficult now that this is starting to wind down.

K I'll give that a try funguy

Response to: The Bunny Suicide Collab (soad) Posted March 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

K here's an updat of the preloader I have two out of 5 done. When you view it right now there are only complete toons for razor and noose. http://denvish.net/ulf/030307/61264_bunnyprel oader.php If anyone is thinking they'd like to help this thing get out faster could maybe help animate a short.
Requirements

20 fps
white background

size: 308.9 X 249 (I know those are two weird number but they need to fit inside the whole thing.

5secs-15secs

send over the .fla

You can either animate one of the two "Torch" "Gun" or you can post a quick idea of your own. It does not have to be and should not be very detailed. "Noose" is the most detail I'll allow. (Hero will be animated by me)

Funguy, I know you wanted me to change it to make it look like the rest of the menu and such.
Any suggestions as to how to do that?

Response to: Boldly Going Nowhere: Opinion? Posted March 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

if you can find a drummer or a bass player. try to get him cuz the song needs it. Also it seems like this at a high frame rate with not of alot of action in it. I would suggest either making the faces on the tv more smooth and not have a two frame movie clip or bring the frame rate down

As always I instantly rush to the aid of al gore. Though I think that this is an important issue I want the topic starter being from Tennessee, to know exactly where that information came from.-

Tennessee Center for Policy Research

In addition Nashville Electric Spokeswoman Laurie Parker says that they did not give the group any figures on Gore's consumption.

Well frankly that one is better than a couple ones that are currently in the actual collab.

Perhaps... you should post an update list of the parts, I really am sorry but I'm still kinda confused.

hey EKublai, what do u mean about the preloader?

and when it comes to the parts made that aren't in the music video aspect to it, there is going to be a section that people can still view them from.

-L

why are you confined? I can just as easily animate with sprites as draw. If a sprite is needed a sprite is used. If you depend on sprites for animation because you can't animate yourself, well fine. Just remember that many do the same. It's not cheating unless there's no effort in it.

Response to: Ban Sprites Posted February 20th, 2007 in Game Development

There are way to many bad things out there worse than the use of sprites to consider it a priority to ban them And yes there are plenty of good-scoring flashes with bad graphics. Ultimate showdown had some of the most overrated graphics I 've ever seen. Men's Room Monologue is also not pretty but hilairious. And Metal Gear Awesome. Should I go on. Jerry Jackson films, the entire phoenix wrong series, Van helthing etc...

Consider the fact that I would find it much harder to make something like Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom than I would something like Smile! or Hanged Man's Elegy.
Currently I believe the most hardest worked flahs on the site is the "The Fox and the Mirror" yet that isn't even flash animation, and still we give a good score.

I really don't like a lot of the specifications people put towards flash even though their views obviously go against what scores show as a whole.

If graphics were the true decider of what was greatest then things by LegendaryFrog would not see the light of day, ultimate showdown, MGA, hundreds of other either.

If plot was the real factor it would be very different. I still find some of the best, engaging plots on NG come from stick figure movies, seriously. Joe Zombie and Castle would hang in the top no doubt.

So really it must be a combination, or it wouldn't explain the variety of good flashes that come from the top, whether they be visual achievements (bitey), engaging plots (madness) or a mixture of both (Space Duck)

I just threatened Chris that if he didn't finish part 11 in two days, he was out of the collab lol. I guess that really shows how strong our friendship

He sent this "update" He apologizes for the crudeness and suckiness at the moment and the earphone wires (???) he's leaving for last cuz they're hard.
hmmm... he doesn't do anything in chronological order.... What did we ever see in each other.
