lol I posted this in a thread not long ago. Look up FLV converter. You can convert your flash to it, and youtube accepts that type because thats the type it auto converts movies too.

Youtube doesn't properly say it, but it accepts .flv, which is made for a flash/movie style, and auto converts the movies to it. your flash can be converted to it with a converter I'm pretty sure.

Don't hold me to this, i'm only 60% sure. Google it!

Flash for Money and Motivation

I agree with everything jtmb2 said. Being able to know people like playing your game and your providing something thats fun for people is great, that warm fuzzy feeling i guess...whatever the hell that is :P

If you start Flash straight off for money it's kinda a bit ridiculous as them people make cheap copies of things, kills the creativity side. As long as you like making games and put effort into them then it's great to make money, but the main reason is too see your stuff come alive and do what you enjoy :)

The main reason I do it is I have tons of ideas and I can use Flash to make the ideas in your head, see them come to life. It's great. Money is just the reason I hope I can keep making this stuff....because if i get a 9-5 job that sucks, your motivation dies and I have no energy to make Flash at night when you get back.

Motivation is the key....99% of people that say they wish they could do Flash can, it's just they gotta put time into it and the starting off is the hardest bit. If your determined, stick at it, do whatever you need to keep refilling your energy :) Usually 3/4 through your flash you lose interest (i do a lot) just grunt through the rest and you'll be proud!!

AshfordPride, this isn't the only bad things I've seen. Even without seeing the worst I would be strongly against Christianity and there methods.

My friend begged me to go to church with him, cause he got bored crap less. So for once I decided to go, and what I saw disgusts me so badly.

They had little kids and told them to come up to 2 boxes. One had lollies in it and they said this box has lollies in it and its the box of god. Take one, and they do and of course kids love lollies.

The 2nd is a box of mouse traps, no joke. I'm deadly serious, the little kids put the fingers in and the mouse trap goes off (some were bleeding, and all were crying)

I've never been more disgusted in my life, the brainwashing tactics christians use is appalling, even IF I did believe in god, how can you still be Christian after seeing that.

Please Christians, tell me, how do you justify that?

I was also contacted, so just out of curiously I put up some stuff....basically from what I can see it feels like myspace but with Flash games....like you have to go to peoples profiles and comment and add random junk ect to get people to try your "pods"....seemed like you could earn some money but it would take too long...

Yeah 30-60 is the standard frame rates in most games. I usually use 60.

I'm very messy, I use dodgy ways to fix bugs instead of proper scripting :P I also code on movieclips which is "depreciated" now cause of AS3, but I hate coding all on the frame.
