Okay since I didnt get you very much I'm gonna give you two ways for making the drawing screen bigger.
1. Okay, first way is really simple, you just have to zoom, go to "View">"Zoom In" or "Zoom Out" .
2. Now, we're gonna make the animation size bigger. Open your property window (make sure you haven't select a Movie Clip, a Frame, a Button or anything) and you should see a tab named "size" with a button next to it (the size of ur actual animation appears in the button). Click on that button, resize the dimensions and then click OK ! There you have it !
