that is not 8-bit
8-bit is based on 8x16 blocks and uses 4 colors (incluiding transparency) per each 8x16 block,
here's an example...

Thanks for your interest but I've just found somebody...
if a mod could just lock this thread please (:

It's not a full length game, story mode is actually a bit short, but there are other modes to complement the game.
Anyway its working tittle is: Outer Space.
It's about a spaceship that gets invaded by aliens and they're destroying the spaceship, our hero has to stop them before they destroy the spaceship completely...

The plan is to get a sponsorship and split revs, so if you are interested and what to know more just PM me, btw art is pretty much done, so you will start programming right away.

In the past, graphics were not importan as long as the game was awesome, Ping Pong, Super Mario Bros, and that applied to flash games too, but nowadays, let's face it, no matter how cartoony you want your game to be, it has to have good and nice graphics, pleasant and attractive to the player's eyes. A lot of people have told you to change the graphics, I recommend you to do so, other wise this game is wasted potential.
If you aren't a very good artist, then get one, as simple as that...

I would like to hire a pixel (low res) artist (or anyone who can do pixel (low res) art well) to do the art for my newest game.

I'm in the mood

I will pay $75 dollars for the art, here's what you will need to make:

That's nice, doesn't matter if I don't live in the states?

1 preloader screen
1 menu screen
1 background
1 score submit screen
1 brick tile, 20x20
1 character, running and jumping cycles

what are the character dimensions?

5 different 'loot' pieces (1 coin, 3 gems(1 red, 1 blue, 1 white), and 1 treasure chest)

1 score bar

1 how to play pregame screen

1 trophy interface element
The theme/plot of the game is:

You just stole the kings crown, and you must escape from the kings castle while stealing more loot along the way :D

Does this mean that we have to make the cutscenes too?

I'm having a hard time to decide who's gonna take the spot...

Whoever codes this in a very sexy and awesome way gets the spot:
GOGOGO!
Basic
Osh
-Walk
-Jump.
-Ome (green/blue character)
-follow osh around

Extra:
-Interacting with signs & stuff
-Ome's punching and kicking actions
-Different screen sizes

*NOTE* the more you code, higher possibilities to win the spot... :U

Ok, since what I did was a complete mess, I decided to start all over again, right now I just have the first stage done, music is 100% complete, I want and I hope to finish this within a week or two.
As I said before I don't intend to make money with this, I'm just making this for fun but if we win something we can split profits 50/50

I think that's all...
then again PM me or post here if you're interested...

...to make a game... duh...

Well I started this project by myself but I ended up with tons of glitches.
That's why I need your help.

Main character is called Oshum, he's been threatened and needs to escape the island he lives in...
This is a small platform game, with a few puzzles in it. I don't want to do something that big, there are 6 stages in total and you eventually get new abilities and/or upgrades.

I don't intend to win money with this, but if the game does, we can split it up.
Post here or send me a PM if you're intested

As far as money is concerned, we can discuss how much is needed. I'm not some big company but I can give some money for helping.

It is, walking animations (that includes moving up, down, left, right) attacks (attacking up, down...),
I can go on and never finish...
