The book is okay for fluff reading, but when it's the primary reading material for these people it's a bit... brain rotting. To be honest, it's the obsessions that are getting to me. It's all Twilight this, Edward's hot, Twilight that. That's not even the worst part. It's when they gush about how great the characters and storyline are, and how great the writing is. This could be proof that they haven't read anything else.

The writing is not good at all, and the characters are practically 2D. I shouldn't have to say anything about the storyline other than it's cliche romance. Also, Meyer writes like she doesn't have access to a dictionary.

The first person writing has no personality whatsoever. First person should be the personal thoughts of the character. A huge percentage of the book is simply like, "Edward's so amazingly hot. His eyes are amazing and he wears a sweater that shows off his sexy chest." First person is no excuse for the reader not to know about other characters. Yet, Bella must be an airhead because we hardly get details about anything that matters.

Man, the characters are NOT 2D. They're real people. Only in pictures they were made 2D. And not every Twilight readers don't read anything else. They also read different books and comics like Manga for example. I have to agree that it has romantic scenes in it but people read it partly because they have nothing to do and partly because they wanted to know other stuff in the books including New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
