Honestly, I don't see how a few lines of JQuery and PHP are such a long and drawn out process.I suppose it's gotta do with the fact that it's going to appear on all submissions, and that they can't afford to screw up even one or else the entire layout of Newgrounds is going to go kerblooey?
The heck? Why can't they have it all deposited to one database, drawn from the same table, and dropped from the same? I'm sure it's more complicated than all that...
These are VERY basic (but might help someone, who knows) as I just started using Ableton recently. But, here's a couple tricks I figured out that really helped me if I ever wanted to make lots of clips easily, then manipulate them to make songs-
(in arrangement view)
Clip Snatching
Once You've got your instrument(s) playing a clip. Drop in a blank audio track, and set it's record to armed if it's not already on. Then, set the audio track's input (drop down) to whichever instrument you prefer. Now set the track's record on, and play your instrument(s). The audio track will record your instrument(s). This way you won't have to export it, then re-import it via .wav file, etc.
Impulse clips/sampling
Once you've done the above, or have a clip you want to pull samples from in your audio / arrangement view. Go into your instrument rack and pull impulse (the top teir 'folder', not child items) into your arrangement as a new item. You'll notice it's blank, so find your audio track. You can highlight a part of it, then click & hold (the header area, not the waveform area, or it won't work). You might need to select your Impulse again after you select it. Then drag the clip down into one of the empty squares. When you play it, it will play the clip you just pulled. You can rename it, repeat as necessary, and make an entire clip set. Just drag the impulse instrument into the folder, name it whatever you want and use it later.
Let me know if this helps anyone, I've got other things to share, but don't want to if everyone already knows these things...

I've noticed a lot of people who increase the overall song loudness until the waveform is nothing but a solid bar. This tends to drown out drums I've noticed. Just have to keep the song loudness around -12db and boost your drum sounds a little for them to have more of a presence. At least, that's what I've seen other people doing.
Crud, I was hoping it was maintenance so projects (I've made a couple I'd like to remove) could be deleted. Ah well...

1.) Find a gritty synth sound.
2.) Attach LFO to the cutoff (many ways to do this in various programs).
3.) Toggle rate.
4.) ???
5.) Profit?

ive been trying to post this song, and for some foreign reason,
it always gives me an error message, locks me out of the file with the same error
preventing me from using the name of the project!
what can i do so that i may actually post the song, without all the incessant errors?
why do they occur?
Same happening with mine. Try to upload and it says the file doesn't exist. I check my projects and it's there. I click it and it says it doesn't exist! So I try to upload it again, and it says it already exists! How can it exist without existing!?
