Wait, they get laptops? What the fuck. My school ran out of fucking paper last year in March, and these guys get take-home laptops? Wow.

Most Underrated Historical Figure? Posted February 18th, 2010 in General

I need to know for some silly English paper. Basically, we're to be covering some underrated historical figure that has really helped shape history as we know it, a figure that deserves more "face time" in textbooks, really.

The eras we've covered (or to be covered) are: Prehistory, Ancient Egypt & Mesopotamia, Ancient India & other Indus-Valley civilizations, Ancient China, Ancient Greece, Roman Republic & Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, the Islamic Empire, the Middle Ages in Europe, Africa, Mesoamerica, and Asia, as well as pre-explorer era Renaissance.

Any suggestions would really help, because I have no idea where to start.

By the way, Yahoo Answers sucks balls.

Response to: Deciding on a RPG game engine... Posted January 30th, 2010 in Video Games

For an Action-RPG, I'd look into RPG Maker XP instead. I remember seeing a mod a while back for action-based battle, not turn-based, kinda like Zelda or Secret of Mana and such. There may be a mod like that for VX now, though, that I'm not aware of.

Response to: Worst controller ever? Posted January 30th, 2010 in Video Games

Out of the ones I've seen used, it would be the Atari 5200 controller.

But out of the ones I actually own and used quite a bit, it would be the original Xbox controller. Way too bulky, and uncomfortable. Also, what the fuck was with the white and black buttons? It looked like they just stuck them there in the last minute. I'm glad in the 360 controller, they used bumpers instead of those two little extra buttons.

General Scales from Star Fox Adventures.

What the fuck was that? That was the most disappointing boss fight ever.

Torchlight is pretty good, but Foreign legion sucks.

Also, anyone else gonna get Mr Robot? Its like £1.19 ($1.82) and is a fun INDIE platformer.

Foreign Legion is really fun. All it needs is online multiplayer and some bug fixes.

Response to: 4 year old suspended for long hair Posted December 17th, 2009 in General

That's just ridiculous.

What rock have these school board administrators been living under? Nowadays, some guys have long hair. Some people might think it looks stupid, but that's what some guys are doing nowadays.

And how is long hair, and this kid's hair isn't even that long, a distraction to education? I've seen like two dozen kids with that or longer length of hair. It's not like everyone just can't keep their minds off of it during a lesson. That's just dumb logic on their behalf for that rule.

Sunny Day Real Estate is emo, and in "Seven" you can see them with a regular style; no make-up, not dressed in all black, short hair. But their music is pretty emo.

But that's pre-2000's emo. Now it's guys dressing like girls.
