Topic: A request for a recording

Posted: 01/29/08 03:54 PM

Forum: Audio

I need someone to record Link's first two lines in Faces of Evil for me ("Gee, it sure is boring around here." "I just wonder what Ganon is up to"). I would do it myself, but I recently got a new computer and can't seem to be able to record with it. Missing audio driver or something.

Anyway, here's a link to the video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=bNpLXo55yfw

My thanks to any who help!

I see that Pervgrounds has not changed in the way of user mindset with the redesign. I was talking about getting stuck to garden hoses, paint cans, paper towels, water bottles, and the like.

What kind of paint thinner were you using? It must have been really high grade stuff to burn your skin that bad. I've used it to wash my hands off before, it works especially good on pine sap, but I've never been urned before.

Well, the thinner was under my pants for over fifteen minutes before i could get it off. As for the brand, I dunno.

1. When you paint with a roller, no matter how careful you are, paint WILL get on your hand, and you WILL find yourself fused to your roller as a result. Attempting to dislocate your roller only means you elect for the next object you touch to indefinitely fuse in its place.

2. No matter where you place a ladder, it WILL be unstable and tilt/collapse under you. There is nothing that can be done to prevent this. If you think otherwise, you have simply been very lucky with ladders.

3. The most efficient way to clean a roller is to aim at the edge of it with a garden hose, causing the roller to spin quickly and causing the paint on all sides to be powerwashed off.

4. An efficient way of cleaning paint rollers is even more efficient at transmitting the mess to your face and hands.

5. Oil based paint does not wash off face and hands with water.

6.Oil based paint does not wash off face and hands with soap.

7. Oil based paint does not wash off face and hands with bleach.

8. Bleach burns.

9. Paint thinner is an efficient way of cleaning rollers without transmitting the mess.

10. Holding a bucket between your legs is an invitation for it to spill on your legs.

11. Paint thinner burns feel exactly like one's skin is being scorched off while at the same time being frozen off.

12. ag·o·ny [ag-uh-nee]
%u2013noun, plural -nies.
a. extreme and generally prolonged pain; intense physical or mental suffering.
b. a violent struggle.
c. The sensation of one's legs being burned with paint thinner (due to a spill caused by stupidly holding the bucket with said legs) and being unable to wash it off until one gets home (which is fifteen miles away) due to the fact that the thinner burns are under one's jeans, rendering the area unable to be cleansed in public.

13. After fifteen minutes, attempting to wash off chemical burns with water does no good.

14. After fifteen minutes, attempting to wash off chemical burns with water does no good.

15. Butter makes burns worse.

16. A good way to treat chemical burns on the legs is to sit in a tub of cold (or lukewarm for us pansys) water for an hour.

17. This remedy loses most (but fortunately not all) effect once one exits the tub.

18. Paint does not weaken its grip on you while you are worried about your chemical burns. It takes the opportunity to harden (but still remain sticky).

19. Gasoline is an effective way of removing paint from your arms.

20. Gasoline is NOT an effective way of removing paint from your face. Gasoline burns.

No misunderstanding. He's intentionally selling weapons at the seedy side of town because that's the easiest way for him to change his mass quantities of metalwork into cash. I have no intents of him getting arrested for assumed burgalery or anything, if that's what you mean. But I do intend for them to meet a character there.

Updates will be sparse over the summer. I'll update when I feel like it. Which is not now, due to finals week.

"Blit."

Clattering loudly, a plethora of weapons and armor cascaded from the upturned hammerwell onto the dusty, rat-eaten rug on the inn room's filthy wood floor, disturbing as they landed a nimbus of dust which rose through the thick air, toyed for a moment with the rays of the moons that filtered through the dilapedated roof and eastern wall and the flickering light that ebbed and flowed from the fire in the hearth, and then settled once again to the ground, waiting to be reawoken that they might again dance through the air. Kaioi sifted through the metal pile, setting aside items that he believed he could easily carry in a bundle through the city to sell at a pawn shop or blacksmith and returning most of the larger items, such as the suits of platemail which could not be hauled enmasse across town, to the small void in which they were carried.

Kaioi was had only worked a few minutes when the door burst open and Thydore rushed in, a tone more joyus than usual in his warbling voice.

"Tgiwiliw!" he cried. "I has it! I find! I find!"

Kaioi looked up. "You found a place to sell all this?"

"Oh, yes! Oh, yes! You say go! Go find where sell! Find in city! And I go! And I find! Tgiwiliw!"

"Where?"

"Other side! Other river!"

"Other river?"

"Yes! Other river! Town have two! Town have two! Meet in center! Make one! Two flows in, one flows out! Tgiwiliw!"

"And you found a place to sell at this other river? Open at this hour?"

"Oh, yes! I find! I find! Pawn shop! Pawn shop! And," he lowered his ptich a tone, "they say 'No Questions Asked!' We sell, they no ask! No ask! Tgiwiliw!"

Kaioi nodded. He had been hoping for something like this. Though he had acquired his goods legitimately, he doubted any would believe that an old hermit had given him a fortune in weaponry and a magical sachel to hold it in just for bringing the hermit's friend up a mountain. He needed somewhere he could sell fast for a good price.

"Good work, Thydore," he said, "That's just the sort of thing we needed. Now, finish putting this stuff into the hammerwell for me while I start tying those weapons into bundles.
