Fair enough, sorry I missed the joke then.

Have you ever seen a video of a snake striking? Often they move so fast you can't even see they've moved. Tarantulas aren't quite as fast as that, but that doesn't mean they're slow either.

Good Call :)

i want something that if it bites me, it'll just feel like a bee sting or something.
i don't want something to penetrate inside me, haha.

The most common beginner Tarantulas are the Chilean Rose or the Mexican Redknee. I went for the Mexican Redknee because they look so damn sexy, and it was the only Tarantula the pet shop had in stock at the time.

your species looks cool, or something along that lines.

Here's an image of the Chilean Rose, who are much tougher and more durable than most others -

Ah yeah, the legendary Goliath Bird Eating Spider, some day i'll own one of them too ^.^
The reason they're considered dangerous, or more dangerous than most other species of Tarantula is mostly because of the inch long fangs. If they bit you, they can actually do some hardcore damage.

If you start collecting and keeping Tarantulas, I'd strongly recommend a different species to start off with.

Nah she's pretty tame, she does have a nasty habit of kicking spikey hairs at me, which means after I handle her I get all itchy for a few hours.

Back home, and climbing the log...

Naturally they have venom, I'm pretty sure all spiders do, but If she were to turn around and bite me, it'd be the same effect as a bee sting really.

i'm considering it. i have a massive fear and i would like to overcome it.

I got mine from the local pet store. It's interesting really, after holding her and the grasshoppers we tried to feed her, I could pick up any bug or insect without feeling nervous or anything.

So much for that escape attempt :)

That's a horrible generalisation.

Naturally there are tarantuals that you just do not touch, like the Rangoon Mustard or the Golaith Bird Eating spider, but it's like saying all black people are criminals because one black person commited a crime.

See link: http://arachnophiliac.info/burrow/worstt enspids.htm

Tarantuals all have their own personality within their breeds. So yeah, some Tarantulas are dangerous and shouldn't be handled, but most pets like the Mexican Redknee and the Chilean Rose can be tamed and handled with no problems.

It's like a permanent erection in the legs!

And you never got a pic of it with no skin like I said D: then you wasted your 4 posts per thread limit and it's too late now. It's too late ta 'polagiise!

The tarantula does have skin.

When they get ready to shed, the skin goes from a regular peach colour to a deep blue/green. This is the new exoskeleton forming.

So yeah, they'll eventually become ready to shed and usually roll onto their backs, when they do this they'll start to shed by pushing their old exoskeleton away from their new one.

Think of it like taking off your shoe by kicking at the heel of it with your other shoe.

A single 'stop()' command on any layer in the movie will do the trick.

If you add frames on any layer, it'll play to the end of that layer, regardless of the others.

As you know, you have Symbols (MovieClips, Buttons, Graphics). They're all similar, but in this case you want the 'Button'.

Basically a button can have actions applied directly to it easily.

so at the end of the movie (The very last frame, doesn't matter which layer) insert a 'stop()' command (Make sure it says 'Actions : FRAME').

Then put your button into the same frame and add the actions that would make it go back to the beginning.

Test it, and you should be good to go.
