First time I successfully passed a FULL session at uni :)
I have been doing art digitally, but it's mostly hangliding hairy shemale porn,
which I can't post here :P
but really, I don't care if this thread dies.
It has essentially become a testament to the fact that I didn't make the deadline, and everytime I posted, the title was a constant reminder.
So I've started posting the new pictures to my newspage, since they are small enough anyway. And it lets you comment on my pictures individually. Handy, no?
Soon I'll make a library post with links to all of the pictures, so people can link to them as they wish.
Sorry for anybody who actually enjoys my tiny pictures, but I'll draw them when I can & want to.
Most of you know how hard it is to force yourself to draw something.
Also, for anybody who is using these pictures as avatars or userpics, I don't mind you using them, but i'd like it if you told people that I made the picture, so if they enjoy them, they'll be able to find my other ones.
Number 68 - Hero
Hooray, I finished another one!
I decided to pluralize the topic, now it's a whole team of heroes.
Based looselyish off of an X men cover I saw somewhere.

I totally skimped on the background,
but it was just to put more emphasis on the characters
for real.

I think I put about 6 layers of shading into this one, the more I do the better it looks, but the longer it takes, what a predicament...
Number 67 - Playing the melody
Once again I dragged my sorry ass out of the gutter to draw a picture.
Only partly influenced by the recent rock out contest.
I like DDR, no matter how bad at it I may be.
I can't seem to hit the back arrow :S
Blobby isn't having much trouble with the back arrow tho...
This also the first time I think a blob has used actual text to speak.
Reasons why I haven't been making new pictures
- The orchestra I perform in has been having lots of performances and rehearsals lately. (Shout out to anybody who is in the New York Youth Orchestra, thanks for playing with us)
- My Uni timetable has screwed itself over, so I have to sort it out or attend two classes at the one time.
- My gardening job has been going all over the place, trying to sort that out.
- My parents are paying my University fees this year, so now I have to pick up a lot more of their jobs
- My car needs to be registered, or I'll run the risk of being a criminal. :O
- I need to get some new jaw X-rays, because my dentist lost my others.
- I need to arrange an appointment to check up with the orthadontists, then dentists again.
- My computer is crashing VERY slowly, need to replace it with a new one.
- Uni starts tomorrow, ARGH!!!! I have nothing to wear!!!!
- And I seem to be really disappointed with my art lately. Which is annoying as hell. Coz art is what I enjoy doing.
Sorry to rant that out,
but I feel like I need to justify why I haven't been doing much.
I expect my art will pick up when I get back into Uni life,
since I tend to draw as a chillout, (see. escapism)
Oh, another thing that's bugging me, I missed out on a class that focus's on Photoshop art.
How fucking annoying?!

Number 66 - Traps
I swear to god I hate this picture so much.
I spent like a day drawing the teeth on the bear trap, and then my computer goes and restarts coz it decided to upgrade windows again, and needed to restart, so it just went ahead and did it.

Other Than that, I think I'm getting better at expressions and their proportions.
Number 65 - Horror
I can feel no greater fear than that of finding a used knife in another condiment jar.
This was originally going to be vegemite and butter, but I had to censor it for the world wide audience.

Number 64 - Multitasking
What greater display of multitasking is there than a one blob band!
I had started sketching this idea when I realised that it could pose a problem that blobs have no feet, knees, or elbows. The prime positions for most percussion instruments.
So I had to settle with a bugle, keyboard, accordian and symbol style band.
No idea what kind of music uses only those instruments...
I have also reverted back to the old shading style, it's more comic-esque and is easier to fit into the picture.
Enjoy the musical stylings of Bob the no-legged blob musician :D

Number 63 - Do Not Disturb
"Very important scientific discoveries are happening and I need total solitude to work!"
I, too, partake in important tasks and wish not to be disturbed, but the only deterent I have is the stench of solitude that my room houses, it's usually enough to stop people from barging in, though.
I also used to be really into building houses of cards, but I'd only use one pack, I'd get really worried that I would mix up the cards if I used two packs, so I would just build several different card houses. and pretend I had made one big one. It was the same amount of effort right?
I'm not sure about this shading style, but it makes them look more proffessional, in my opinion anyway.
Number 62 - Magic
Arcane magic, no less.
I prefer the kind of magic where people used symbols, complex calculations and had big cutscenes when they cast spells.
It's just cooler than waving a twig and spurting out latin-esque utterances, I feel anyway.
Lightning makes everything cooler.
Number 61 - Fairy Tale
I think Fairy Tales are a very important influence on children, it's where your imagination is bred. I hope I captured that in this picture.
I also attempted a lot more detail for this picture,
I had to group my layers there were so many.
And I used a couple of nice photoshop effects :)
Makes me wonder why anyone would make proffessional, analog drawings?

I've seen enough American teen movies to know how this setup works.
Bigg'up yaself Mr Blue, I hear Green really likes flowers and sweet blobs.
And at band camp, she totally.....

Number 59 - No way out
"I want to play a game with you, Mr Green"
I haven't seen Saw, so I based this setting off what I could gather from scary movie 4.
I think I started this out as a jail cell, so that's why there are tally marks on the walls.
I couldn't take them out since they are part of the history of this picture, they are important to me :P
Sorry I can't update as often at the moment, I've been doing work experience at a REAL Graphic Design / Advertising Agency up in sydney.
It's a 2 F*CKING hour train trip there and back to make my 9 - 5 day shift.
So I have home time from about 8pm till 5 am
And I am a sleep junkie, so there isn't much time to do anything at the moment
