Its a cover I think. Don't know what of though.

It sounded like Perfect Strangers - Deep Purple.

Funnily enough, I do a similar sort of thing... however it takes 5 minutes for me to get to my bus stop, so I stick In Death's Embrace (Live) - Dimmu Borgir on, it's upbeat from the start, and with it being live, it's faster than the normal version, it wakes me up really well and puts me in a splendid mood for the day (even thought it's a melodic black metal song).

Yeah from Full Circle onwards, it's much more powerful on the live version. Guitars and keyboards are louder and James really goes for it.

Yea it's the same with Dimmu, Shagrath really goes for it too :p

Yeah so, I just thought i'd share that.

Thanks for sharing.

Yay Majesty Demos might be here tomorrow!

Also, I recommend the 3 live cover albums DT do. They're top notch.

Nev you are a bastard :( I was meant to be seeing KSE on 7th Jan but my mate fucked up buying the tickets.

Also, what's everyones definition on 'an epic'? 8 minutes+? 10+? 12+?
Anyway, I thought Octavarium was the best Epic ever written... Then I heard aCoS... well for the 12th time (that's how long it took me to like it), then I heard the Glass Prison and was just blown away, that may very well be the best piece of music ever written EVER.
Oh yea, Then I decided to get Rushs 2112 album, guess what... 2112 tops them all piece of piss.
IT'S. FUCKING. LEGENDARY.

Also, Nev, what's your DT discog looking like now?
I've got everything except Another Day single, FII, Once in a Livetime and Live at the Marquee, then i've got 4 official bootlegs and 1 of them in the post.
I really fancy getting FII cause Trial of Tears and Hollow Years are fucking immense on Live at Budokan but i'm too busy buying all the new albums out this month that interest me whilst feeding my new Rush obsession.

Furthermore, Klaxons are quality!

Indeed-a-roo. As soon as it gets to Full Circle the song goes amazing :D.

Yea, I agree.

I'M BACK :O

I've got loads more Dream Theater since my last post, I'd have to say Six Degree of Inner Turbulence is the best DT album ever. Train of Thought is a disappointment and their live bootleg of 'Dark Side of the Moon' is quality! I've also got a n interesting live medley from the 'Through Her Eyes' single.

Furthermore, The Glass Prison was more than likely written and performed by Carlsberg... if you get my drift.

The door was wide open... SO COME IN AND FUCKING POST!!!

NEW!

Babyshambles - Fuck Forever (single CD1)
Babyshambles - Fuck Forever (single CD2)
Babyshambles - Albion (single CD2)
Faith No More - A Small Victory (LTD EDT Picture disc CD1)
Dimmu Borgir - Spiritual Black Dimensions
Kasabian - Shoot the Runner (single)

I recommend getting the Kasabian single, not only does it have a killer A-Side, it also has the best Status Quo cover ever. Don't get me wrong, I really don't like Status Quo but their version of 'Pictures of Matchstick Men' is to die for.

It's an awesome film. You watch it once and you think it's pretty weird and don't understand some of it/pick up on a load of subtle things... but the more you watch it, the more you learn to appreciate it's true genius.
