Regardless of whether the parody is likable or not, you are making a profit off of copyrighted material. That's why the AVGN changed some of his videos when it was released on dvd (all the movie clips) and such.
I don't think companies care if its something small, but it varies. It seems like the old copyright issues are coming back. I agree with you though

I actually would of given the same response, regardless of joking or not... I don't need a woman always talking about my dick to make me happy, just suck it and let me move on in life.

Top: The Connection behind the TV, ingore the silver green (note I said silver) wire, but the 4 front wires are what I used
Middle: This is the connection to the computer, you can see the object I posted in the first post of this thread, and even a Best Buy sticker, keying the fact I even asked them for help. They told me (again) that this should work
Bottom:
As you can see, nothing happens. And yes I checked the Input area on the tv, all 4 settings show nothing

that just makes a "creaking" like noise, assuming that the computer/tv is trying, but it doesn't succeed, it just goes back to the clicking again.

That's all if your computer has an S-video port, a minijack (which of course you have), and that your TV is RCA.

Ok, now I'm starting to get a little annoyed, I have an S video wire, and all the red, yellow, and white wires connected, and nothing worked, I even tried it on a flat screen and still got nothing but a clicking noise

mine isn't a flat screen so I don't think that will work... I don't have that type of connection port on the tv

Its not a flat screen tv, Its the big and fat kind, I forget the "special name" they have... Its not LCD..

I'm using the same type of wires you would use to hook up a video game (audio 1, 2 and video)
Best buy told me I need those other kind as well, which brings up the term "male to female or something" they said.

I got this object
thinking I could hook the computer to the tv, just like how you would do a video camcorder, then I got those other wires, and I'm stumped. Thats all I know

Oh and the tv is a Phillips if that helps

Hello guys, I am having a really big problem here.
I want to use one of my TV's as a computer screen, I followed this tutorial but nothing seems to work.
I used the yellow red and white wires as a connection, and even got one of those other wires, they call male or female for some reason...
All I get is on my tv is blank with a slight "fpptt" noise happening every few seconds. If anyone has experience with doing this sort of thing, you think you could help me out?

Topic: Copyright online video laws

Posted: 11/11/09 06:43 PM

Forum: General

Ok, first things first
I am annoyed at how far these copyright laws go against uploading content on the web.
I know it sounds stupid or doesn't make sense, but hear me out here.

I get the fact that if its BUYABLE content or VIEWED ON TV STILL it is against the law to put on the internet.
BUT
why is it that for content that is not sold on DVD or on TV or anything, why do companies still feel the need to say "Hey, we don't want you putting up our content up"
In all fairness, this is just being selfish.
If they are not selling DVD's or putting the shows on TV anymore, you aren't stealing money or anything, so whats the big deal. I mean, atleast someone is still trying to show the old stuff still.

Examples
Cartoon Planet
Rocko (certain seasons, the dvd's are only season 1)
and many other shows.

IMO, if you show something on TV, then there is no UNDOING it, just like the internet.

I had it for about 4 years now, I got it Christmas 2005, and sent in my flash in 2006. I played around with the demo before hand though and failed miserably with claymation

I am pleased with my progress, but I think I could of done better on certain parts.

I was interested in both, I tried a game first and then an animation just to get something in the portal.
