I seem to draw females better than males, and I am male. Or at least, I think so. Oh, and sadisticirony, your work is fricken' amazing.
Took a break from the mustache man piece and decided to do a super-speed 10 minute-practice with some color, lighting, and set pieces.
And boobs on the acrobat too.

Achievement unlocked. SCORE
If the glass of a thermometer broke, the 'red liquid' wouldn't spill out, it would actually leak mercury. Just sayin'

Hooray for assuming nudity!
Haha, I DID see her nekked, but not in real time on cam. She just sent me pics for reference when I asked to do a portrait of her.
I'm also working on a funky Digital Sketchbook. Here's a page from it.
I meant NOT QUITE, by the way.
Also, behold, a piece I've been spending some time on that is finally done.
Sketch > Watercolour > Scan > Digital Painting > Photoshop Sharpen > Colour Balance Thought it created a unique look.

Wow, the lighter grey pencil on the beige paper looks AMAZING, and it is much lighter on the eyes for those that don't like the high contrast black/white. I personally love both. Great work.

Some practice. Gotta find the time to do a fully-realized piece.
It is what it is.
The Wacom Bamboo is a great inexpensive starter tablet. The one I have personally is the Wacom Intuos5 with touch controls, and it is absolutely awesome with my Macbook because of the multi-touch features. But if you are only interested in the pen controls, then Bamboo is what I'd say.
Awesome, she's got that cute style. Don't fret, I too suck at backgrounds, I end up just leaving them white usually.

I was referring to the one "Philosophy of Death" on the blog you provided.

This is very true. Creativity isn't something that can be measured, and 'imagination' isn't even an expressible quality. In order to express what is going on in one's imagination, they would have to have skill of some sort. I'm not talking strictly about artwork, I'm talking about everything. To describe what one sees in their head, they must posses a certain amount of skill, weather that skill is in verbal communication, writing word, music, dance, drawn artwork or anything else. SOME skill is needed to convey the thought or imagined idea to another.
Everyone has an imagination, its what they use to think and to process visual stimulus in the world around them. However, skill is something which is varied among individuals based on natural talent and practice.
