you seem to forget that war is good for economy (although not the national debt). remember from history class what it was that got us out of the depression? i believe it was WWII.

You seem to forget that it was WWI that sent us into depression to begin with.

um well isnt that the essence of being a democrat? ah how nice it is to know that under clinton billions were lost in the education department. literally lost. what about his patriotic move that armed chinas ICBM missiles. not that bush is any better but it not his fault the goverment is shit. until people realize that 40-50% taxes and big goverment will never work the country will be a cesspool of politicians sucking the dicks of the only people who vote.....geezers( social security that cant be privitized just loses money, PRESCRIPTION DRUG CARE!!? the only way that the ole USA can get out of debt is to treat the goverment like a business.

I think this guy was against Clinton, I mean yes he messed up in the beginnning but look at how we were when he left! When he left office, we were actually able to pay off the interest on the National Debt, the first time in the history of our country! But what did good old George W. do with the surplus? Put it into the National Debt to take care of some of it like Gore was going to do? No, he gave everyone a "tax refund" which was great for the rich but for us middle-income families, it was pathetic. Also, our economy was going great thanks to Clinton's economic plan, which Bush scrapped for a plan similar to Reagans, which caused the stock market crash in 1988. Just one last thing, not all wars are helpful to the economy. Just look at WWI, it helped boom our economy while it was going on but after it ended, we went into a depression. Also, I agreee that if given a choice, if given a choice, I'd rather have Saddam in office than his sons.

Did you happen to read my post Laertes? For all of you who don't remember what happened with W's father was president, our economy went down and he put us into a war. We are in a worse economic state than we were with his dad and instead of Iraq just having bio-chemical warfare, they now have nukes!! It's nice to see that there are people like you Laertes who know what's really going on.

I don't know if you guys realize this but if we attack Iraq, some of the countries in the Middle East will take it as an attack on their religion. Which will turn the simple attack into a religious war, and they will fight until the last man is dead. That means that there will be massive casualties on both sides and that Bush will most likely have to re-institute the draft. Just think of why the terrorists from 9/11 said they attacked us. Now take that and combine it with the fact that we are attack Saddam in order to "stop the spread of terrorism."
