For those of you that own a PS3 and actually KNOW something about internet connections, i need help.

Heres the story. I got MGS4 and a wireless connection to the internet. So of course i play online. Heres where i need help. Although i have a 100% signal strength to my modem ALL the time i STILL lag as if i got weeble or some crappy internet like that. And this isnt a one or few time thing, it happens 24/7 in ANY game i join during EVERY day. So i ask you Newgrounds(is that a mistake?) How can i fix this problem?
