So you're saying we can't possibly care for anothers well being without God?
That's what the religious essentially say when they claim that their morality is direct result of their faith.

There are tonnes of people who claim christianity but still murder. Faith doesn't simply change everyone/anyone. I'm happy in the Lord, and even before I knew him(atheist), I was a pretty nice person. But man, I wasn't happy. I don't think I want to share any details, but it's only affected me positively.
okay, NOW I'm going to bed...

you created what I think is a false dichotomy, its not just a or b, there are a few other letters in there at least my friend

So what if God is in the "gaps"? And it's pretty high-horsed of you to think allot of the creationists are ignorant in science. Science won't answer your questions. It might answer some, if not most of all things naturals questions, but it doesn't just go far enough.
Your Dad should look into it. You either believe or you don't. People who just sit there poking around, saying "Oh, I dunno.." aren't answering what they're asking. Everyone is born knowing God, but they seal their conscience with a hot iron, being told all their life he isn't there. All tribes untouched by science have a god of some type. A creator. Why do you think that is? Indians have some sort of weird story, like a turtle crawling out of the ocean, or just all sorts of weird crap. And another thing, why do other religions have pictures of their deities when they haven't seen them?
As much as I'd love to keep this convo going, I'm tired, it's late. I'm off to bed.

one more thing, many scientists, are religious, so yeah faith and science are not mutually exclusive
But science is usually the cause of atheism. And in my terms, I was talking about the common arguments with evolutionists versus the creationists. And aliens? Where did they come from?
I was making a point, the raliens are just as unscientific as any dogmatic baptist who belives in creation, but one believes in god and the other doesn't. and science doesn't cause athiest, one of the leading genetic scientist, who btw does not believe the creation myth, is a christian through and through, and forgive me I forgot the name, if anyone knows it let me know. If anything, the field of genetics is the one field I would think most likely to 'cause' atheism

and how do buddists become atheistic? yup some sects of buddism don't believe in a god too.

my point was science and atheism are not the same thing

There's some science to creation. I know science doesn't lead to atheism, because it's about how it's interpreted. You can choose to interpret how we got here either the creationist way or the big bang theory way, either way, it's probably going to affect your faith.
The Big Bang theory is taught throughout most public schools, if not all of them. The Big Bang is pretty much nothing exploding creating everything.
If nothing created everything, then how does a god/God fit into the equation? Genetics is relevant to evolution (hence, my mentioning big bang) and they all work together (kinda). Genetics pretty much just says everything has similar coding and properties. I don't see how it "proves" anything, other than similarities.

Response to: How to befriend a girl? Posted November 14th, 2011 in General

Be yourself.
Don't act like a douche, but be yourself. Unless she hate it.
But really, 50/50 pretty girls can be bitchy.

so you're saying people are atheists just because they want to be a rebel of society? because they want to break the norm?
No there atheist because they don't believe in God. They call themselves atheist because God is being shoved down the American throats like it was MickyD's. Then "you people" treat religion like teenagers with cell phones, "OMG you don't have one, how do you live?" Atheist would be nonpracticing non denominational if "you people" would just back off and stop trying to further "your" agendas.

So people just shouldn't worry about someones spiritual condition? It won't matter if they're wrong, being that they won't remember it anyway, so neither will you. What chance is there to take? What happens if they're right?
They call themselves atheists because they believe science, which in times, usually ends up disproven anyways.

In fact, I enjoyed it.

Response to: intous 4 (medium) vs bamboo create Posted November 13th, 2011 in Art

I have an Intuos 4 medium, and it's pretty awesome, as far as I know.
The buttons make it really agile to work with.
Two ports, and pen (That requires NO charging whatsoever)
I love it. Had it for almost 2 years now. Hoping to upgrade to a Cintiq medium.
