Any animators possibly interested in th project....at all :P lol. Or if you're not but you know where perhaps I can post the big fat basics page in order to drum up more interest? That would be a great help. Thaaaaaaaanks! (trying to sound like the smug people with hybrids from SP :P)
Hallo, can you please do one for me? I guess it would be cool if the picture and stuff had to do with my name somewhat literally however you see fit. Also, it would be good if my name (Dr. Worm) was on it somehere.....and written cool :P

Sorry.
True, I suppose. But then again, if the animators are interested in it, I don't see why it matters who wrote it. It's not like I would give myself the biggest prominence as far as credits go and stuff. That wouldn't make sense. If an animator likes Lost and likes the idea of the collab, the flash skills of the person who puts it together shouldn't matter as long as credit is given out where it is deserved, and not anything more just because it was my idea. I think that nobody shows this better than "Lost"'s own Bernard and Rose:
Bernard: Why do we have to tell Jack before we do anything? He's not the president, he's just a doctor.
Rose: And you're a dentist.
Hallo, I'm a writer, and I also love the TV show "Lost". I want to write all the scripts for some shorts that any "Lost" fan/animator who wants to get in on can say so on this thread. Each short will be a quick sketch that is a funny parody of certain events, scenes, and characters from "Lost". I have some ideas for the different shorts, but I am open to any suggestions :). Post if you're interested in any of the following scenes or have a scene suggestion of your own:
-Talk with Mr. Friendly ("Light 'em uuuuuup")-"The Hunting Party"
-The Plane Crash (the 1st scene from the show)- "Pilot"
-Others' Camp (Ms. Klugh Scene)- "Three Minutes"
-The Pearl- "?"
-A scene making fun of the "Lost Experience" game
-Eko's Monster Stare-Down- "The 23rd Psalm"
-The Raft Scene (Walt's Kidnapping or maybe the scene with the bottle messages)- "Exodus"
-And much much more :D So post away if you're an interested animator!
Ooh...this looks like a good service. I don't really know what I want my sig to be but if you could just do something cool having to do with my name (somewhat literally I suppose :P) that would be great. Thanks!
Haha. Thanks for lettin' me come in from the cold and crash here :P (btw, he/she <===he :P) Yeah, so uh......if you're interested in any shtuffs, post, please post. Especially if you're an animator :D

Art thou never satisfied??? :P haha. Well, if you just click that link and post any interest that'll bump it up anyways :). w00t....
I did make my own topic, lol, but no one is responding to it. If you're at all interested in this series, then I guess make a post on my thread for this, which you will find right hya=> "Ghost Town"
:-D any interest would be nice. :)
Haha. I dunno if you're talkin' to the topic starter or me or some other writer...but tell me if you're interested in perhaps this idea thing:
Drama/Sci-Fi(Sorta) Series entitled "Ghost Town". While unfortuntately I cannot divulge much plot information or character details (as the plot is twisty and important and some in-depth character stuff is important to afforementioned twists) but basically its got a large cast of main characters and it's about people in purgatory (this isn't some sort of huge "Lost" mystery, WE know they're in purgatory, THEY know they're in purgatory). Purgatory, Heaven, and Hell in this series are all in real, far-away-from-our-Earth places (in purgatory, everything is dusty and green :-O), which is made possible and run by futuristic technology and complex politics. The main characters all died at close times and places and are now trying to learn the secrets of the place they now "live": Purgatory "ghost town" 13-T: Tartarus, the way that they can get out of purgatory and get into Heaven, and finally: clash with and learn the origins of the "Lost Souls", strange, glowing, and violent former live people who are outcasts from the formal Purgatory system and more closely resemble "ghosts" in the traditional way we think of them. Along the way, there's conflicts, vies for power, death (die in Purgatory and the powers that be designate you to go up, down, or back to Earth in another body to try again), epic revelations of their fates, constant meddling with their fates, (and later) actual outcomes of their fates, and maybe even a little romance.....yeah....it's dramatic, it's maybe even a little weird, sure. The backstories of characters are told in "Lost" fashion: each episode devoted to flashbacks of a certain character (I know that it takes away from originality, but I've tried other ways, and nothing else really works or makes sense). Um.....a list of some of the main characters and very slight descriptions of them.....
Kevin Scetz-the "main character" of sorts, Kevin seems to always be depressed about something. Also, early on he claims to work in "business" yet carries a concealed weapon and is a near-perfect shot.
Link-a woman who has completely forgotten everything about her life except for the word "link". She hopes that something (or someone) in Tartarus can help her regain her memory.
Praedonus Deorum-one of the few main characters who died before the new tenants of Tartarus, Praedonus lived in ancient times and is being punished by being forced to stay in Purgatory for a crime against the higher power. He is the conductor of the train that takes newly dead souls to Tartarus and he is the second-in-command of the "ghost town". He knows much more than he is allowed to tell...
General Orpheus Domes-another character who died before the other main characters, but died much more recently than Praedonus, Orpheus is the official General Leader of Tartarus. He is supposed to watch over the tenants and make sure their actions lead them to their fates, but he seems to have his own agenda that he will achieve by any means necessary.
Nathan Johnson-a desperate, panicked man who is worried about his 7 year-old daughter, Haley, who may or may not be in Tartarus. For her entire life, she was unable to meet her father and was kept in a strange experimental environment. Nathan hopes to tell her the truth about her life.
Smith Jones- a former soldier who's sole mission in Tartarus is to find his younger brother, William, who was lost during a Lost Soul attack on the train ride to Tartarus. Smith is a very moralistic and trustworthy person after a tragic event in his past woke him up from his more sinful ways. Other tenants are often look to him for help and guidance.
Jean Psychia- a former housewife who has a secret she closely guards from everyone else. This is hard for her, though, since everyone in Tartarus tells her she looks familiar from somewhere.....
Thorne- the unofficial leader of a horde of Lost Souls that live in the mountains outside Tartarus. She is scheming, maniacal, and will stop at nothing to achieve her own radical goals. She is always accompanied by her bodyguard, the katana-wielding Lost Soul warrior Mick.
Charon- more important later on in the story of "Ghost Town", Charon is the ruler and overseer of all of Purgatory. He is an old man who is filled with the experience of thousands of years, and has very narrow views on how peoples' fates should play out. He lives in a huge fortess in Purgatory's capitol, the city of Styx, and is surrounded by a well-trained and high-tech army and his personal officials, the Reapers.
This is just a quick sampling, there are many deeper characters and plots as it goes on. I would love to hear some feedback from interested animators or just anyone with some thoughts on the idea.
I have 2 other big ideas (a comedy series and a parody series or collab) that maybe an animator might be interested in. :) Post away!

You make it sound like it's that simple. Yeah, maybe after that you can animate some stick figures, but there's a certain artistic vision and skill that some people have and some people lack, it's very difficult, sometimes even impossible, to teach: you just have to be born with it :P. THAT is why us writers must find a good animator, because we are not able to draw/animate and we likely never will be. So..... yeah if you want me to post a basic plotline/character list for my afforementioned series just say so on this thread :). Thank you, and namaste ;).

Small freakin' world :P I'M a writer who can't animate for his life and I HAVE a sci-fi-drama-fantasy series about purgatory (ensemble cast, flashbacks <==sorta "Lost"-ish) that I want to find an animator for.....and get this......IT'S DEEPLY STEEPED IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY. Wowza. Anyways, if you're an animator (and sorry for stealin' your thunder SirensMaker, though I doubt I really am :\) and you might be interested, mebe I'll post some basic whozits and whatsits ;).
Hmm...well free time would unfortunately probably be a must. I'm looking for somebody interested enough in the project that they would like to be a major, long-term part of it..........or at least until they don't wanna do it anymore and someone else can do the same style :P. But it really does have an intriguing and enveloping plot (but I can't divulge that all here for obvious reasons) that I think you might wanna be a part of.....or not lol :P. I dunno, maybe as this thread goes on and you're still a bit interested you can just animate an episode or two.....sorta like "guest directing" on TV you know? :)
Hello there! I am Dr. Worm, and I have an idea (some scripts, mostly full characterization, and basic plot overview for the whole thing) for a high-profile Drama/Sci-fi Flash series. If there's any good animators out there who are interested in perhaps animating for this series based on what they've read in the following basic idea/ some character info paragraph, then post something on this thread :) (P.S. If you like it and plan on stealing the idea.....well that would be impossible since you don't have the whole plot =)....go me! :P)

I've done as you've asked bluenessism. Please check your e-mail (it has specifics of what I want from your animator friends) and then get your animator friends to contact me. Thanks :)

Ooooooh, clever one we got here. Hmmm......I'm glad that "Ghost Town" seems to be movin' along, but I'd also really like to get some real backing on "Worm". Any animators read the script on page 166 and like the sounds of it? Hmmm......I think I'm going to now post some (or all.....maybe....) of the script for another "Worm" episode: "The Spy Who Loved Men" (Note: This one's pretty racy hehe)
(Opening scene: Everyone is sitting on the couch watching a movie at Bob's house. We can't see what's on the TV, but the lights are out and we see white-ish light from the TV. We hear a guy with a Southern accent saying "I wish I knew how to quit you!", showing that they are watching Brokeback Mountain. All of a sudden, the light turns pinkish-purple and cheesy porno music starts playing in the background.)
Bob (cringing): Oh god! Ugh, why did you rent this?
Joe: Oh, shut up you little Republican wuss!
Worm: Seriously, if we knew you were gonna be such a dainty little fruitcup about it then we would've rented some action movie or some other girly crap like that.
Bob: But-
Worm: Hey Jackrabbit, pass over the popcorn.
Jackrabbit (nervous and sweating): Um...no...I'm still using it!
Worm (grabbing the popcorn tub and struggling with Jackrabbit for it): Come.....on.....give...the damn....thing....to....m-AAAAAH! (Popcorn flies into the air and spills all over the ground) You better have a damn hookshot in your pocket!
Jackrabbit (looking at the ground): Uh.....no.......
Bob: Uh......(eyes widen, then he darts out of his seat and out of the room)
Moleman: Come on now, let's get out of here and.....um....sort this out.
(They all leave the room. Shortly after they leave, Bob runs back into the room wearing a Biohazard suit.)
Bob: What'd I miss?
(Everybody is now outside walking down the street.)
Joe: Don't feel like this is gonna bring you down, Jackrabbit. Some of the most important people of all time were gay. Like....uh......Alexander the Great!
(Family Guy-esque flashback scene, at a Greek-looking building where a general runs up to Alexander.)
General: My lord! The Persians have attacked again! What are we to do?
Alexander: Ah, those Persians never know when to stop. Every day, whenever I dispatch a guard to some city I've erected, they knock it down, destroying our ports, scattering my good seamen all over the place. It's just not right! But I know how to turn this around so they won't know what hit them! We'll send a phalanx around to penetrate the enemy ranks from behind. Those rear troops must be penalized again and again until they are so sore from battle that a new hole tears open in their ranks. Such is my will now go see to it that it is done!
(General stares, annoyed, at Alexander. Alexander gives him a blank, emotionless stare back. There is a long pause.)
Alexander:..............What?
(Flashback ends and we go back to everyone walking.)
Joe: Okay, so maybe Alexander the Great isn't the best example......
Jackrabbit: Eh, I don't really think I would want to be like that anyway.
Worm (turning around so now he's walking backwards): Why don't you be like the gay people on TV? They seem happy and they get all the best lines!
Jackrabbit: I guess that doesn't seem too bad...
Moleman: Well, that settles it then. Tomorrow morning, bright and early, it's time for a....
Joe: It's been a while...
Worm: All the more reason for it......
Everyone: A TRAINING MONTAGE!!!!!
(It goes to a montage with many little scenes. First, Shnookums and Moleman are seeing Jackrabbit trying on different clothes, all of which they are unimpressed. They take him out behind the store where they spray-paint his normal clothes pink. As Jackrabbit is coughing and spitting up, Shnookums and Moleman give a thumbs up. Next, Worm has a woman show Jackrabbit an example of walking effeminately down a street. Nearby construction workers whistle. Jackrabbit attempts it and rusty nails rain down on him. Worm half-heartedly gives him the thumbs up sign. Then, Jackrabbit is seen taking notes at a desk from a video on a projector while Worm and Bob, still in a Biohazard suit, are pointing to parts of the video, exactly what movie is unclear but we can clearly see Richard Gere on the screen. Finally, Jackrabbit is talking, we cannot hear what he is saying, and Bob and Shnookums are watching him. Shnookums accidentally lights Jackrabbit's foot on fire, then gives the thumbs up. The montage ends and we see Worm, Bob, Joe, Moleman, and Shnookums standing out on the street outside a house early in the morning. Bob's suit is gone.)
Worm: Well, I'm proud of our little Jackrabbit.
Joe: Yeah. Our very own stereotypical gay friend......but...where did he go last night? He sort of disappeared when somebody (staring at Bob) was supposed to be keeping an eye on him.
Bob: What? The suit fogged up.
(The door to the house opens and Jackrabbit storms out, walking out into the street and wearing the same clothes he was wearing before the montage.)
Moleman: Jackrabbit? What are you doing there? What happened to your.....uh.....
Jackrabbit: Oh trust me, I've fully realized that I am NOT gay.
(Alexander the Great walks up to the door from the inside.)
Alexander: Where are you going?
Jackrabbit: Alexander (makes quotation marks with his hands) "the Great" my ass! (mutters to himself)...literally.....
(The door slams shut and Worm is giving Jackrabbit a confused look)
Worm: Um....Jackrabbit, I don't think it really works like that. You can't just say you're gay one day and then decide you're not the next.
Jackrabbit: Oh no no no. I know it for sure. I just ate bad shellfish.
Joe:.......Shellfish?..........
Jackrabbit:.......yeah.....bad shellfish.
Bob: Oooooooookay.
(Everyone just shrugs and starts walking off towards the horizon.)
And fin! Yeah, that one's a little bit strange. But any sort of feedback would be appreciated.
Well, while I'm waiting for some possible animator feedback for my other two major projects, I thought I would make a basics post for my last big idea. It's a series of very short little cartoons (maybe I'll do just one big collab with different sketches) in series currently entitled "Found", and all the sketches are parodies of major or minor scenes and characters from the TV show "Lost".
Haha. Like I said, the episode script I posted isn't really the funniest one, it was just the most complete at the time. And the second one was a basics post for a DRAMA series. So....its not supposed to be funny, hehe. If you know any animators who would maybe wanna do "Worm", get their asses onto this thread :). As far as the style goes for "Worm", not realistic at all, pretty cartoonish, you know? And it would be great if the person's good at drawin' celebrities and such, as cartoon versions of some of them (including Adiwale Akkinouye-Agbajye, Kiefer Sutherland, and...um....Alexander the Great) hold prominence in some episodes. And bluenessism, get your animator friends onto this thread, I'm getting anxious :P
Have them post something on this thread if they are interested. Then we can go through the formalities. Thanks very much, I appreciate the help.
In case you want to give feedback but don't wanna look for the stuff I posted, it's all near the bottom of p. 166 if you wanna check out my "Worm" script or my "Ghost Town" description.
Thanks, its gonna be Flash, all Flash. It's on a pretty epic scale, though, so I'm looking for a pretty good animator. I'm not overly picky, I just want the best for my little brainchild. Also, as far as not giving away too much there but leaving you intrigued: that's exactly what I'm going for...and as far as your specific example, how Jean is familiar to everyone, it ends up being something really really cool :P. So, any feedback on this series or on the "Worm" script I posted would be much appreciated.
Any criticism on the script? If you think it's lacking in the funny dept. I have other episodes that are probably more funny, this one was just the most developed. While I wait for those questions or comments, I'll plug another series 'o' mine and wait for your um....questions or comments.

Aw hell why not I'll post some of the script now....so now I bring the script of Worm: "Worm vs. Weisha"....2 quick notes: The characters Bob and Joe are not their final names, they don't have much prominence in this episode so I'm not gonna focus too much on finalization, and this is (very) loosely based on a true story....sort of ;).
(Scene opens with Worm, Joe, and Jackrabbit sitting at a Chinese restaraunt waiting for Bob and Moleman to arrive. A waitress quickly walks up to Worm...)
Waitress (with huge smile on her face): Water?
Worm: Uh....no th-(notices look on her face, sighs) fine, go ahead.
(Waitress walks away)
Joe: That's like the 5th time that woman gave you more water in the past 10 minutes, why don't you just say no?
Worm: Ah, I feel kinda bad if I say no....I mean, this is her life, I'm not gonna take that away from her. Plus she looked so damn happy giving it to me.
Bob (walking up to the table): Um, guys, we have a little problem at the door.
Jackrabbit (sighs): I'll come with.
(They walk away. Worm turns to look at them, then turns around to find the waitress standing there, practically having appeared out of thin air.)
Waitress (still having huge smile on face): Water?
Worm: Actually, you sort of just poured it a few minutes ago and I still have three fou-
(Waitress ignores him and fills glass anyway, then disappears)
Worm: did you just see that?
Joe: Weird ass lady......
(Now we see the outside of the restaraunt, where Moleman is arguing with the maitre'd, who is standing between Moleman and Jackrabbit and Bob.)
Moleman: I'm better behaved than half of the idiots you allow into this restaraunt of yours. I don't see why you can't just make an exception!
Maitre'd: Hey, buddy, the Department of Health makes the rules, I just enforce them. (Pointing to sign) No cats, no unseasoned dogs, NO MOLEPEOPLE!
Moleman: This is absolutely absurd!
Maitre'd: Sorry, bub.
Bob: We uh...already sort of paid for th-
Moleman: It's okay, I'll just take a depressing walk or something....
Jackrabbit: Okay, great, see ya!
(Bob and Jackrabbit walk back into the restaraunt, where Worm and Joe are opening fortune cookies.)
Joe: No molepeople rule again?
Bob: Pretty much.
Worm: That doesn't make any se-HOLY CRAP! I turn around for one freakin second, now LOOK! My glass is full! ...Let's just read the fortunes and get the hell out of here. (Reading fortune) Huh? "Now is the time to make circles with mints...." Oooookay. Let's just leave.
(They leave, scene ends. New scene later that night at Worm's house, where Bob, Joe, Jackrabbit, and Shnookums are watching TV. We hear peeing noises in the background.)
Shnookums: How long's it been?
Joe: About 2 hours now. It's his own fault for drinking all that water. Waitaminute. What the hell are we watching?
Bob: I dunno, we must've left the house with Cinemax on....OOOH that's not supposed to fit there!
Jackrabbit: Turn it off now! (Fumbles for the remote and shuts the TV.)
(We hear flushing noise, then Worm walks out.)
Worm: No good stupid Water Geisha had to force-feed me all that damn water. Right now we have to teach her a lesson! Oh wait make that later, nature calls again (runs off to the bathroom. We hear a door slam shut and peeing noises again.)
Shnookums: Normally I would help Worm deal with this woman...but I just really, really don't like him very much....besides (playing with hellfire in her hands) water's not my thing.
Bob: hmm....I wonder where Moleman is...
(We see Moleman walking dejectedly through a park (still at night). He finds a bench and sits down on it, depressed. All of a sudden, it starts to pour and Moleman gets soaking wet in addition to being miserable. Three guys in yellow ponchos holding huge buckets filled with water run up to the bench and dump water all over Moleman. They chuck the empty buckets at Moleman and run away.)
(New scene, outside the Chinese restaraunt. Worm, Bob, Joe, Jackrabbit, and Shnookums walk down the street to find the Water Geisha standing there waiting for them.)
WG: I didn't think you would come back. How's the bladder? (cackles maniacally)
Worm (angrily): How do you think? You ruined it! Why? Why are you torturing me?
WG: Ah, because I noticed you would be the kind of sucker who can't say no to a nice lady with water.....and the more liquid you dump into the sewers, the more POWER I HAVE!!!!! (cackles maniacally again)
Jackrabbit: Power.....?
(The Water Geisha suddenly dissolves into a puddle and zips under everyone's feet, popping up again on the other side of the street. She shoots a huge wave of water from her hands that knocks everyone over. She's about to make another, fatal one when Moleman, on all fours, runs up and starts gnawing at her dress. Shnookums, idly playing with a fireball, accidentally shoots it off at her, causing her to evaporate into the air.)
WG (floating away): Some day, Worm, most likely in May sweeps, I will have my revenge!!!!
Worm: Well, this was certainly an interesting night.
Bob (putting his hand on Moleman's shoulder): And you see, Moleman, you aren't completely useless after all!
Moleman: I wasn't under the impression that that was the theme of the episode....
Bob: It wasn't?
Joe: Oh yeah, I think Moleman's right....this was all about discrimination.
Jackrabbit: Oh.....crap. We sorta planned a moral for the ooooother one.
Worm (sighing): Fine, let's just end it then (Worm puts his hand over the camera, making it pitch black)
Worm (muttering): Unprofessional asswipes......
And fin! Hope you like it, or hope someone says something 'bout it.

It definitly has potential , though it is pretty generic . Its all been done before,
Yeah it is somewhat more "traditional" in a sense...but I'm thinking that the episode concepts and some other assorted stuff in the series can give it a little extra oomph. Hmmm.....right now there are about 2 episodes near script completion (in rough rough rough form so may be on the short side) so I'll try to maybe post that soon. I also have 2 other series I'd like to post a similar basics post for. So......soon come.....
So like......is anybody gonna say anything or what? I would like some feedback, thoughts, interest, something....?!?!?!???
Oh yeah, and one more thing: thanks a lot murfynation now every time I'm learning geometry in school I'm gonna think of interspecies......ugh I'm not gonna mention it haha.

Well yeah I'd do that if most of it wasn't part of a larger series. I kinda wanna see if there's any animators interested in the main idea of it before I start going into full-on scriptwriting. You see, I'm what we in the working community would like to call "lazy". Eh, if I see some interest in the following, I'll probably wake up:
Comedy series currently entitled "Worm" (and obviously starring a cartoonish character loosely base don myself) that follows the wacky (by which I mean "WTF???") misadventures of me, two other more....uh...."normal" characters, and then the 3 main people who make it interesting. There is Jackrabbit, a high-technology secret agent/master thief who is in denial that he's a complete idiot, Moleman, pretty slef explanatory: he's a slightly humanoid furry creature thing who lives under my character's friend's house (and unusual for a monstrous sorta thing, he's extremely articulate, intelligent, polite, and has a British accent!), and my personal favorite character, Shnookums, my character's pet dog, and extremely cute little pink poodle with one sliiiiight problem: she's possessed by demons and is often creating hellfire or speaking in tongues.....Um.....well, some of the gang's tales will include a casino heist, a face-off with a vicious Chinese food waitress (long story), a violent feud/war starting because both parties "insist" that the other take the last cookie, and a very special episode about the effects of bad shellfish (it's a secret). Um...I'm taking up a lot of space so if any animators seem a little intrigued by the project at all, then post away! :)
P.S.: In hindsight this is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard of......and I don't particularly care.
P.P.S.: I have 2 other big ideas but I'm not gonna post them yet......
This thread continually makes me smile. Hehe...."Animationist".....yeah, okay on a more serious note: I am a writer as is this person, but I'm going to flat out say right here my experience is.......well, it's non-existent but 'tis no matter! It's creativity that counts, and I've got loads of it. I have a couple things a-workin' around in my head (and I can spell ;-P), most prominently an intense super-high concept lengthy drama/(sorta)action series with "Lost"-ish large cast and flashbacks, a comedy series where the concepts are the funniest part (it's hard to explain) but its got some more traditional stuff thrown in and the rare "Family Guy"-esque "kinda like the time when.....", and then the one that's the least developed, a series of short sketches (or maybe one big collab.....???) of "Lost" parodies (I am both influenced by and wish to make fun of the best show ever....)
Just wondering....would it be a better idea to...uh...maybe post bits o' scripts or give some basics about some my stuff......or schwat????

I am a writer, i love flash, i do practice flash, but my skills in flash are limited. However, i have great ideas and love brainstorming with others.
God that speaks to me :P......I just found this thread and I must say, wow. This is the perfect outlet for writers (like me!) and I think this is certainly a good place to start postin' some ideas (especially do to your shady mobster ways of dealing with idea-stealers that make me feel safe). Anyways, I have numerous ideas for short movies and a couple series that my lack of Flash skill is incomptetent of producing. So, if you are interested in:
A: Super-high concept lengthy drama/action ("Lost"-ish ensemble cast 'n' flashbacks) series
B: Comedy series (I may already have an animator for this though...)
C: Um.....other randomly assorted suchforths and whatnots.....so uh...yeah post away!
Haha, nice April Fool's Day Joke. It would have been cooler if u changed some buttons and other stuff tho. And i joined at the end of April last year so wats this McNewgrounds thing everyone's saying is better? jw.
