Response to: Writer Looking for good Animator Posted August 19th, 2006 in Game Development

As of now I already have an artist but I still need an animator (plus who knows what'll happen in the future, it's a long series :P). So I'll be checking out your stuff. Also, to the other writer, thanks for the enthusiasm, and thanks to a plot mechanism blatantly ripped off from Lost, the series doesn't get bogged down by description, it uses it as fuel to the emotional fire :P. Anyways, I hope the monstrous and wild beast that is the twisty and epic plot of "Ghost Town" can be tamed and the series will turn out alright, and trust me, it's worth it. It will keep you on the edge of your seat...hopefully :P

Quick question but gotta ask so's I can finish GoW before GoW II comes out: what exactly do I.....uh....do, in Pandora's Temple after I got the little rod thingie from the Challenge of Atlas once you beat that room where the floor collapses if you don't kill all the enemies in time? I'm clearly missing some obvious path of progression here, but whatever. Some help would be nice :)

GameCube wasn't great but it certainly didn't "flop". Oh, and by the way, AFTER the N64 NINTENDO made the system with the most sold units worldwide of any system EVER: GBA, plus DS is brutally outselling PSP. I wouldn't call those flops. Okay, now I'm not rabid anymore :P

Response to: Looking for Story Writer ! Posted August 3rd, 2006 in Game Development

I fancy myself an okay writer with lotsa skills and such, but under 3 minutes....hmm.....lemme look into my big 'ole sack of ideas. Well, I had a lil idea for a bunch of quick comedic sketches making fun of the TV show "Lost", but that's not very far in development yet. I also have an idea for a more serious little animation in the vein of things like Sin City or those old gritty crime movies and such. I dunno, those are mostly in the back of my head but they're the shortest ideas I have. It'll become more developed soon, possibly.

Response to: Anyone need a voice actor? Posted July 30th, 2006 in Audio

I'm in need of VA's....badly. I don't know what voices you can do, though, so just go right here to see the voices that I need.

Response to: Looking for an Animator Posted July 27th, 2006 in Game Development

There'll be character models soon, then I'll be able to make some judgements. As soon as one is done, I'll post it up here.

Looking for an Animator Posted July 27th, 2006 in Game Development

Hallo there all! I'm Dr. Worm, and I'm writing a sci-fi/drama Flash series entitled "Ghost Town" (to learn about the plot and such, go right here.)

Here's the deal: I already have an artist, I just need an animator, preferably who's good at fluidly tweening to make realistic human body movement. Just post if you're interested!

Response to: Weird fishing stories Posted July 27th, 2006 in General

I was at summer camp this year fishin' down by the lake, pretty shallow water and whatnot. I'm a super-amateur fisherman (i.e: I suck) and had only really caught a couple puny fish....basically in my life. Anyways, maybe 30 seconds after I cast out I caught a 6-pound bass. Niiiiiiiiice.

Response to: Video Game name Idea Posted July 26th, 2006 in General

If it's gonna be so plot-reliant, make the title having something to do with the major plot revelation/twist (but don't give it away, duuuuh) but that people will have no idea what the title means until they beat and then they're like: "Ooooooooh".......

Response to: Why aren't we peaceful? Posted June 28th, 2006 in General

Oh, and forgot to mention: it's not right to blame one man for all our country's problems. So, yeah, the guy's not the best when it comes to rhetoric, and it's really fun to make fun of him for that, but it's an entire cabinet, an entire Congress, and a bazillion secret agencies that make the mistakes, not just the President. Besides, due to crappy human nature, it's tough to be the most powerful man in the world and not want to exert it. K, I'm done now :P

Response to: Why aren't we peaceful? Posted June 28th, 2006 in General

It isn't just human nature. It's nature nature. Animals are born to not live in complete peace, for population control reasons. While many of our wars do much more harm than good, healthy competition is necessary to maintain equilibrium. That's why communism and utopias will never truly work. It's impossible to fully achieve peace, because that would require perfection, and I don't want to go down the road that 1984, Brave New World, The Lost Experience, and every Science Fiction movie Ever have clearly warned us against.....w00t.

Response to: Scientology? Posted June 28th, 2006 in General

Sigh...okay. Scientology is a cult/celebrity fad religion. It was founded by L. Ron Hubbard (or was that just South Park?) and focuses on the hilarious bullshit that the (stick with me here) evil alien Lord Xenu stuffed volcanoes with....is it hydrogen bombs or alien ghosts? Whatever, anyways, it was billions of years ago and that is what causes human suffering. I dare you to find one Scientologist in the entire country that's not in L.A. or New York. AT ALL. :P

New one: Run into the stalll holding up a harpoon and shout "I'm coming for you Moby!"

Also, I think now'd be a good time to give another list: Best things to do in Wal-Mart!

1. Hide in a clothing rack and whenever people walk by, shout "Buy me! Buy me!"
2. Dart around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the Mission: Impossible theme
3. While in the firearms section, ask a store worker where the anti-depressants are
4. Try to buy a pack of M&M's on layaway
5. The Best One of All: Go into a dressing room and wait for about 5-10 minutes, then shout: "Hey, there's no toilet paper in here!"

Oh, forgot to add, are you gonna try out for any other characters?

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted June 27th, 2006 in Clubs & Crews

Hmm.....good auds Moose. The voice you used was very rough and grating, not what I need for Kevin or Nathan, but something I definitely need for other characters, one of them a main supporting guy. I'll try to get up a sample line or something soon, but the character isn't much developed yet.

It's Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy. And wow, that movie's gonna rock, Shooter McGavin as Sandman? Oh, why the Hell not, Tevye was Doc Ock!

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted June 27th, 2006 in Clubs & Crews

VAA? Maybe I should start posting there. Oh, and Moose, when's your auditions coming in, I'm just gettin' a bit anxious because I'll be gone for a month on Thursday, so I'd like to hear it :P Plus, there's barely any Kevin or Orpheus auds, and they're like the two main characters! Lol, and you're trying out for both :P

Response to: God Of War2 Posted June 26th, 2006 in General

It's gonna be mad sick amazing! And thank god it's coming out on PS2, cuz I'm not buying a damn system for $600. No. Freakin'. Way. But anyways...as much as God of War will rock, it is not even close to game of the year. There is way too much next-gen amazingness:

-Super Smash Bros. Brawl
-Spore
-Gears of War
-Assassin's Creed

Response to: Worst game ever to disgrace your TV Posted June 26th, 2006 in General

Hm....before I start, I would like to make two points. First of all, to the poor soul who had the misfortune and temporary insanity to buy Shadow the Hedgehog, may God have mercy on your soul. Second of all, Paper Mario is a great game! :P

Anyways...worst game ever. Um....it didn't exactly grace my TV, since it was on DS. That game is Rayman DS.....I still haven't figured out how to friggin save...oy. But, then again, when I was little I bought so much horrible horrible crap on GBC and GBA that I can't even remember anymore, but there was a lot of crappy games and even crappier licensed games....oh yeah, almost forgot. The worst to grace my TV was either Sonic Heroes or GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (but that's probably just because I had such high hopes since GoldenEye on N64 is my favorite FPS ever :P)

Here are two places where you can go that will give you the maximum opportunity for voice acting.

Newgrounds VA Club

Voice Acting Club

I actually am in dire need for voice actors for a series, if you're interested, click here to see which characters I need voices for and info about them and the series, and post sample line links on the NG VA Club or on my thread that I just gave the link to.

Response to: Super Smash bros Melee fatalities Posted June 25th, 2006 in General

Have you all seen the footage from Smash Bros. Brawl? There's some weird power-up thing that looks like a 3-D SSB Logo and it makes the character do like crazy awesome shit. You see Mario shooting off billions of screen filling fireballs at Link, Link getting his revenge by swinging his sword so many times so fast you see a ton of them at once, and my personal favorite....Kirby with a chef's hat boiling Mario in a cauldron.

WOW. I am blown away Tarkin. I'm pretty sure the part is yours. You got Lerner's quiet whininess just right. There's just 1 little thing: In parts of your demo, Lerner had a few moments of a sort of awkward squeaky whiney thing...I dunno, just watch out for that in the future :P

One more thing: If you want, I highly suggest that you try out for Praedonus Deorum as well. I imagine your Lerner voice but deeper, much less whiney, and sort of more English (think characters from anything epic :P) may very well be good for him. I dunno, if you want, try out. I'll make a post here once I'm sure you got the part of Ford C. Lerner....and if you get it, and you keep it a secret 'till the episode gets made, I'll tell you what the C. stands for :P

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted June 24th, 2006 in Clubs & Crews

Tarkin, I'm about to listen to your audition for Lerner right now. I must tell you, though, that the "Westerner" voice in the demo you posted here is the perfect voice for a supporting character who's main role is throughout one of Kevin's flashback episodes, with some scattered parts of his character throughout later in the series. I'm not sure of his name yet, but he was Kevin's business partner before Kevin died. So, who knows, when I make up more information, more information shall come :P
